Lovely little hotel with splendid views, a beautiful swimming pool and a wonderful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and most especially enjoyed our evening dinners with the sunset view on the beautiful outdoor terrace. 

We found our rooms a little dark and would have preferred to reserve a room facing the terrace / swimming pool so that we could enjoy sitting outside with the lovely view. 

Otherwise, a lovely property that we wouldn’t hesitate to return to.

We loved our four night stay. Host Arnold was the nicest, kindest and most attentive host you could wish for. 
We had an issue with our hire car and Arnold was happy to ferry us into town and back for a meal when his own restaurant was not open. 
We dined at the hotel two nights and the meal was superb- he is an excellent chef. 
The hotel setting is beautiful. All the public areas, and rooms, are scrupulously clean . The pool is a delight and the view stunning. We will be back and thank you again.

Stunning peaceful retreat with a fabulous host.

Truly a hidden gem: La Ferme Lamy is far enough away from the Sarlat tourist traffic to offer tranquility, close enough to everything to provide convenience. The stone-walled rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the hospitality warm and gracious. We regretted not having time to take advantage of the beautiful infinity swimming pool or to spend more time on the dining patio overlooking the rolling Périgord fields. We would certainly return (and we really hope to do so someday). This is an excellent hotel.

A lovely and gracious gem.

We stayed here in July for 5 nights. It was beautiful and the food was amazing. Wonderful new owners, who were very helpful and kind. Beautiful views of the valley from the infinity pool. Will look forward to returning.

Wonderful stay

We had four nights at La Ferme Lamy and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and the delicious food. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The pool area and the terrace have a wonderful view over the Perigord countryside. Simple room but quite comfortable. Overall highly recommended. 

Relaxing and beautiful place

A beautiful well restored small hotel in a beautiful surrounding.  The view is great, the hosts are really kind.  The rooms are new, clean and well taken care of.  Nice bathroom.  Beautiful pool area and outdooor terrace to relax and enjoy the sun or the shade.

Summary: Michael and Josephine do a great job running this place and do their very best to satisfy each and every customer. Josephine cooks all of the meals and they were delicious.

A word of warning, if you stay to eat ensure you reserve a spot in the morning. Also, if you're not a lover of veal, froi gras etc. Make sure they can make something else. 

The creme brulee was amazing.

Room 9 was very rustic and could do with an update, if only those pictures of flowers!

Beautiful Base Location to Explore

We stayed here for one night while on a walking tour of the Dordogne.  This is a mom-and-pop operation, but Michel was very attentive and available.  There looked to be about 6-7 rooms total.  There is one choice for dinner each evening, but it was delicious the night we were there, and the view of the sunset while you dine simply cannot be beat.  Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.  If you have a car and are exploring the Dordogne, this would be a great base for day trips.  And you have a large pool to come home to at the end of the day.

Stunning view and a conscientious host

If your generous relatives owned property in the hilly farmland of France, and invited you for dinner and an overnight stay, it would be like staying at Ferme Lamy. The couple who own this hotel -- which has received awards for its quiet setting -- take great care to prepare superb but simple breakfasts and dinners (cassoulet!), and they are friendly and congenial. The grounds and rooms are a bit rustic and aged, though the owners are slowly upgrading everything. A pool and patio are a perfect place to spend an hour or two on a sunny afternoon -- though you might have to skim the pool yourself.
