Mezieres sous Lavardin

We stayed here for a couple of nights as a stop over.  Kids liked the pool, and the slide.  Friendly welcome, and owner spoke very good English.  We stayed in a cabin which had a slightly scary mezzanine level for the 3rd bedroom.  Good shower.   It was very clean, but we were dissapointed to discover a dirty bbq, which had leaves and ivy growing in it.  Which left us with only a gas hob to cook on (no oven), and microwave.  There was a snack bar/takeaway but we didn't use it, as we ended  up having a lovely day in Le Mans, which wasn't too far away (about 25 mins drive).

We wouldn't return, there was a few off putting things, such as dog poo by the pool, a boules competition which seemed to give the people taking part a right to block the paths, car parking spot, and sit on our accomadation porch.  We only swam a couple of times, but as soon as we did, one of the owners was there as if they were checking up on us and the kids.  The site is a bit run down too, doesn't look as good as it is in the pictures.  

Ok, but not for us 

We only stayed for one night as we were travelling south. Lovely Campsite, very peaceful, helpful friendly staff, large pitch and showers very good.
The approach roads are country lanes, and you need to be mindful when approaching blind bends!!!  But well worth a visit.

The campsite is a human size less than 50 location in a lost corner in the middle of nowhere with charming owners folding into four for their client.. lots of animation of planned.. sanitation and very correct pool.. for a disconnect c is perfect

Miniature camping

The real camping with all the values that it means! Communion, joy, respect for others. A small camping that makes you want to come back 😊 The locations, rentals and services are numerous and very good. The bosses to whom we take our hat, they love their camping and the guests who pass by. Everyone is welcomed with a smile 😊 The snack is worth the tour, pizzas, fries, sausages. And very good pastries, at very good prices 👌 We will come back.

Warm and friendly campsite 😊 Very friendly and welcoming owners. Bengali rent, neat and comfortable. Very affordable rates and possibility to rent out of a week. Clean and clean sanitary facilities. Nice and quiet setting.

I stayed at this campsite with family, one in a camper van and one set of 2 tents making 8 of us in total.

It appears to be a family run site, extremely friendly and accommodating. The lady on reception helped with my extremely poor French. Alas the pool wasn’t open as we arrived late and we moved on before it opened which unfortunately is the afternoon only.

I really liked this campsite, it was in a small town in the Le Mans area. Lovely country roads and open fields, the campsite itself is small and well maintained, showers warm and clean. After staying at other campsites I quickly learned a toilet seat is a luxury item. This campsite was blessed with toilet seats.

I decided to eat at the on-site restaurant, I believe the reception lady’s husband was the chef, offering simple yet satisfying food. Pizza, chips etc. Which was absolutely fine, my only issue was the salmon was cooked within an inch of its life, closely resembling ash (literally) 

I didn’t complain, I tried my best it didn’t ruin my experience at all, I just put it down to a slight over sight on cooking time and the chef was so welcoming and accommodating. Everyone else’s meal where nice, can’t say I have seen pizza with sliced potato as a topping but for all I know that’s a local specialty.

The campsite had a play area for children, bouncy castle, later a little disco by the pool with some interesting choices. It wasn’t great for mobile data so the children had a great time dancing to the music, it wasn’t full so they really let their hair down and enjoyed themselves.

Our tent was pitched up in a hedges square with a small opening onto the wheat fields. To me the whole lay out of the site was well considered to lower any potential noise neighbours might make and to give some privacy.

Honestly it was beautiful, quiet, dark. Perfect for a good night sleep.

I stayed at another campsite in Bidart the night before, I think I prefer the smaller quiet ones for some true piece and quiet.

I noticed a pond, I believe you could fish. I didn’t enquire as I didn’t have the time but I believe that would be really relaxing.

The only reason this review doesn’t get 5* was the fish was the only disappointment but other then that exceptional. I am a first time camper and have done a couple this summer this was one of the better ones.

Little Gem

It's a quiet corner in the middle of the Sartorius countryside, an affordable campsite even on a 24-hour basis, a warm and pleasant reception, a carriage house at the top, a swimming pool open seasonally, and the nature around you, and they also accept animals at the top.

We only spent one night in this campsite and the reception was perfect. Traveling with our two-year-old, the owners offered us to open the snack earlier in the evening so that we could eat earlier. The luxurious bungalow was comfortable and clean. The outdoor play area was very pleasant. In the middle of the season, the pool is open. We will definitely stay there again.

Originally from the country and coming from Belgium, we are normally caravan camper, our opinion concerns the rental of a mobile home camping isolated in the countryside, nevertheless remains very interesting due to its central location as a starting point to visit the wonderful Sarthois country all azimuth The super friendly owners and everything at your service The locations are clean and well defined - The mobile home nickel and functional from all points of view and especially the bedding - The manager makes superb wooden cottages structure which will suddenly increase the value of the camping by a star - MA NOTE PERSONAL... 7/5 of 10 We will return...

Peace and Nature

We only stayed one night but, in this small campsite, we appreciated the hospitality and kindness of the owners.
