La Maison is a real find. Located in a town house literally five minutes walk from the town centre with ample free parking. The house is a cool, chic and contemporary haven of calm. Our room on the third floor was well appointed and large and airy. Myriam is amiable and welcoming and breakfast in her lovely garden was a real treat. Given how near this is to the busy town centre La Maison is really quiet and charming and only  few euros more than some soulless budget hotel. Highly recommended.

Excellent chic and central B&B

Myriam was a delightful hostess and she has a house full of clever interior design ideas. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast sitting in the garden. Albi is a city of narrow streets and parking is an issue. There are free car parking spaces close by and a large pay-for car park at Jean Jaures. It is an easy stroll to the Toulouse Lautrec gallery (recommended) and there are a couple of good restaurants in town.

Our hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful - even coming to find us when we got lost when we first arrived in Albi! They welcomed us to their lovely old home, you do have to walk up to the third floor where the guest room are located - but it's worth it. The rooms are tastefully furnished, with flair and attention to comfort, with a modern bathroom and you get a view over their spacious walled garden. Breakfast, served in the garden is plentiful and beautifully presented. Myriam and Bernard were passionate about their city and what we should do, with excellent advice - especially about visiting the extraordinary cathedral and the Toulouse Lautrec museum. They also sat down with us and helped plan our drive up through central France with great recommendations about historic and beautiful French villages to visit.  A wonderful place to stay and we left sad that it had only been one night.

Charming, comforable and friendly

Myriam warmly welcomed us to her lovely B & B in the centre of Albi, a short walking distance to restaurants and the major sights.  The B & B is furnished in an eclectic and charming modern style, with up-to-date fixtures in the bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom.  The bedrooms are located on the third floor, so it is necessary to walk up two long flights of stairs.  Breakfast was delicious and served in the dining room, although if it had been warmer we might have had it in the garden.  The garden is an absolute delight, an unexpected oasis in the centre of town and guests are welcome to sit in it.  Myriam also showed us where to park our car nearby for free and gave us excellent restaurant reservations.  It is helpful to speak some French as little English is spoken.  Albi is a beautiful city with lots to see.  We stayed only two nights, but wish we could have stayed longer.

A wonderful place to stay in Albi with a very friendly welcome

The owner, Myriam, offers three rooms on the third floor of a lovely house. This does entail climbing two sets of stairs. We stayed in one at the back that had a very comfortable queen size bed and overlooked the garden. It was bright, spacious, cheerful and quiet. In the evening and early morning, when it was cooler, we enjoyed being able to open the large windows. The decor was modern and its decoration very tasteful. The bathroom was large and had up-to-date fixtures including an excellent shower. The weather was hot while we were there so we were very grateful for the quiet and good air conditioning.
Because it was warm enough, we were able to have breakfast out in the lovely garden. Since our French is a bit rusty, we did have a slight language problem but managed to communicate anyway. Free parking was available just down the street which was very convenient. One can easily walk into the town but since it was hot and one of us wasn’t so feeling well at the time, we drove in. Being a Sunday, there was free parking. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful.

Tranquil Place to Stay

The owner, Myriam could not be more helpful, went so far as to stand in a parking place right outside while went to get our car.  The accommodation very stylish, comfortable with plenty of room, also a lovely garden we could sit in if we wished. Plenty of choice for the continental breakfast.
