Hôtel Le Panorama

Perched on the side of a valley with views over the town rooftops to the surrounding mountains, this hotel is well-named. Our 'superior' room was large, well-equipped and furnished with a king size bed. The enclosable balcony was a nice touch. The only thing that was less than superior was a modern but very poorly designed shower with no door which ensured that the floor of the en suite flooded every time the shower was used. There is a heated and enclosed pool with access to a terraced lawn for sun bathing, and a restaurant with outside dining terrace where we enjoyed a leisurely evening meal. There was a buffet breakfast bar with a very wide selection of ingredients to choose from, including DIY fried eggs. At €13 this was above average for petit dejeuner, but nevertheless good value for a meal that could set you up for the day. Staff encountered were all very pleasant and keen to practise their English. A slightly more expensive hotel than our usual, but the accommodation and facilities (except the shower!) were of a standard commensurate with the price.
