Domaine Arros

I’m almost ashamed to say my confinement was heavenly. I found myself ‘trapped” in this beautiful domaine. I was with friends and with what soon became family ( the owners of the domaine). As soon as we realised we were in confinement the owners stopped charging us for the room. We all equally paid for food. Nathalie was amazing organising food runs and she would come back with a whole lot more than we had paid for. She would pass by local producers and surprise us with the most incredible chickens or an array of local cheeses. She even surprised us with fresh seafood lunch! I haven’t even spoken about our surroundings! Six hectares of beautiful gardens. We arrived with cherry blossoms and left with our tummies full of cherries. We passed our days walking along the river, playing tennis, playing croquet,table tennis. Cooking together as a family. Apéritif whilst playing boules. Swimming in the pool.. We arrived as guests and left as family. Thank you Nathalie, Jack and Mathilde.
