Beautiful, tranquil place, surrounded by coastal marshlands, close to Narbonne and Minervois Region. It is a large property with the garden and swimming pool. Parking is in front of the building. We booked standard double room on the second floor for our one night stay. It was small and simply decorated. The bed was comfy. From the balcony we had a nice view of the countryside. We had an evening tea in spacious, elegant lounge. Our host Marion was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast had a good selection. We definitely recommend the place.

Great hospitality

If you are looking for ‘traditional’ French hospitality then this place should be at the top of your list. Marion the owner, is a top host offering everything traditionally French. The grounds and building are simply breathtaking. Set amongst marshlands where a range of wild birds and animals roam. No sound, just tranquility in an area of natural beauty. 

A pretty infinity pool for you to gaze across the marsh land where you might even catch a glimpse of Wild Pigs and Deer - we did. Marion is fluent in English and Spanish and will happily advise you of where best to eat or places of interest to visit. 

Our apartment was pretty, spacious and very well equipped for our family of five.

Simply lovely. 

A little piece of Heaven

“A super bergerie close to Béziers and Narbonne in the wine growing area of Bas-Languedoc. Capestang and Montady have shops. Lovely peaceful location overlooking beautiful countryside scenery. Bring your binoculars and see Black Kite, White Stork, Glossy Ibis, Cattle Egret etc. from the terrace. The rooms are big and airy and spotlessly clean. Fresh bread, croissants, jams, cheese and salami for breakfast. Freshly pressed orange juice, tea and proper coffee, too. Once a week guests are treated to a common meal with local wine. So, there we were Spaniards, Dutch, Germans, Danes and English all having a lovely evening.The very friendly and helpful hostess Marion, speaks very good English and Spanish. Her husband Richard speaks Spanish. She is mine of information about what to visit in the area. She is willing to book places at restaurants etc. for you. She helped us order tickets for the Ligue Un game in Montpellier!"

A perfect rural B&B

This place is amazing. The fields surrounding this old, remodeled farmhouse are green and lush, the pool is refreshing, the rooms clean, cute and spacious, and the hostess the very definition of hospitality. Highly recommended - especially the room for four, which boasts a kitchen and French balcony. Perfect for a group of friends, two couples or a family.

The perfect B&B

Marion has welcomed myself as a guest and many friends that I have referred over the years - since I was first introduced to her and Richard in 2004. 

The inn and its surroundings nurture you with a simple elegance that is often missed by other accommodations with flashy decor and smart TVs hanging on the wall.

Run a bath, read a book, enjoy the pleasure of a great conversation with your hosts, or simply soak up the moments letting your mind wander as you watch the grass sway and the birds go about their day. 

Enjoy a great night's rest and a perfect breakfast - freshly pressed juice, cafe au lait, or tea, pastries, bread (to die for) and preserves etc. 

Consistently maintained, and always warmly welcomed as if no time has passed (whether it's you first time or you are a repeat guest).

Peaceful natural surroundings

I think is important to tell my story because probably more families will be in the same situation that I was on the 10th August, and is not a pleasant one.

I made a reservation on Booking.com for a room with a kitchenette in this rural place on the 26 June and on the day of check in, at exactly 3:30PM, the lady call me and told me that there were no room for my family for the 2 nights.

I was 2000km from home, and with a 18 month baby in the car driving there from Nice, this is a 5h hours journey.

The lady wanted to put us in some mediocre hotel, 15km from there, for the 2 nights, with no kitchenette, for the same price as her place when if you reserve it earlier it will be cheaper.

Probably this is a nice place, but if they see they can make more money they don't hesitate in putting you out, even knowing you have a baby and you are 2000km away from home.

So be carefull with this one!
