Friendly home in this old and elegant home with old furniture.Large room nicely decorated and comfortable. impeccable bathroom.

Nice stay in a stylish home

The room and bathroom are clean and well equipped, although the room is quite dark. A warm welcome. A small breakfast snack that could be a little more complete (grain, cheese, for example).

Good quality price ratio

This hotel has been maintained to give a strong sense of its historical origin as the grand home  of the procurator to the king (Louis X14)7.  Staying there is a unique opportunity to experience grand ( if small town) living. Madame could not have been more welcoming or helpful ( she immediately returned something in the post that we had left behind). We slept in a four poster bed, had a large but modernised bathroom en-suite and breakfast was delicious in the elegant dining room. A small hotel run by a family themselves; a gem that we will use again and again on our way south.

A unique historical building

We liked the medieval house in Montmaurault very well. The room with the new bathroom was generous and furnished. The hit was the great breakfast with homemade jam, fresh bread - the owner gets the extra rye bread because I have a wheat allergy - in the master dining room. For our little daughter we got a baby bed and the owner felt she would have done anything to make us feel good. Montmaurault was a stop on the way back, the city itself has little to offer.

A medieval night with great service.

Returning from the south of France towards Calais Montmarault is a natural place for an overnight stop. And for those who love the history and traditions of France La Maison du Procureur du Roy is a delight. The 16th century building, very well-preserved and furnished beautifully, makes for an exceptional stay - especially if you have the room with the four-poster bed. The breakfast room is also an aesthetic delight.
The environment is matched by the comfort provided by Mme Beaujean, who is the most helpful of hosts. The facilities are all that one could want, and the breakfast just what one looks for in rural France. All things considered this was an exquisite last night of our holiday in a place to which we shall certainly return. 

The best of French tradition 

Located in a very old house with beautiful stones and a very old and beautiful staircase. After passing these nice few meters, we were very disappointed by the bathroom in particular. Huge mousses around the bathtub and on the tile, blending passage to the HS shower, damaged faucet parts etc... As for the room we were lucky. Lucky especially that the other occupants of the neighbouring rooms are almost silent because there is absolutely nothing at all, finally if one day 3cm under the door.... And then the pigeon shit mat on the window support is not too nice! Breakfast is not worth asking 9€.

Aimed for the hotel, but closed. Instead a delightful couple said how about b&b next door. How glad we were. Wonderful building (16C) decorated in quirky, comfortable style. We stayed in coquniquo, our friend in capuchin. Breakfast was fresh bread and homemade jam. The couple couldn't have been nicer. Village is placed six and a half hours from Perpignan, and five hours from Caen, if that helps

Chance stay

Two visits in June 2013 to this establishment. Extremely smiling home, spacious and perfectly clean rooms. A cozy continental breakfast and very well presented in one of the old and typical rooms of this Prosecutor's House, perfect complement to the associated hotel. Of course, some comfort elements are related to the fact that the establishment dates from the 17th century (parquet somewhat crunchy)...but this also makes the charm of the house!

Very nice historic place

On the way to our vacation, we discovered our guest room. Very nice house, the rooms are beautiful. The breakfast room is very nice. The owner advised us very well for tours. As we dined at the restaurant next door, we were able to park our car in the parking lot without having to empty the trunk. (my owner)
