I stayed in Citron, which was a stunning room with exceptional views over the beautiful surrounding countryside. There are wonderful places to walk directly from the property, including the River Dronne, which has a lovely swimming area, a bar with a food menu, a maze and a tree top trail. There is plenty to do in the areas. I would highly recommend it!

Wonderful in every way!

We came here for the first time last year and came back this August. We were so full the first time that we decided to stay there for 15 days this time! Joanne and Haynd a couple of British lovers from France are doing absolutely everything they can to make everything fun. The attention is multiple and availability is permanent. The rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is a delight. The smile is permanent. How pleasant! What a pleasure! We see very rarely this kind of welcome in France. No doubt this is the sense of British welcome that Joanne and Haynd have transposed here in this small, delicious corner of the sea. Charcis for a thousand!

Wonderful.

We stayed for 5 days en famille as a base for a nearby wedding.  This is without doubt one of the most restful and charming places in which we have ever stayed.    The facilities are brilliant - large comfortable rooms, peace and quiet. A breakfast to rival any - fresh scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, cheese, cold meats, yoghurt, croissants......Endless coffee.  The hosts treated us like family and could not have been kinder or more helpful.   And there is a pool which is warm even in September and two slightly eccentric dogs.   Perfect

Could not be better. Like a private paradise in a lovely area

After staying here in March, we returned in August for a week and it was even better.
This time the weather was warmer and the refreshing swimming pool a cool respite from the heat.
The charming owners, Joanne and Haydn have added 8 laying hens to their ‘animal family’ and have made some subtle changes to improve the overall accomodation and grounds in the few months that they’ve been here.
Breakfasts served on the terrace with far reaching views and peaceful surroundings was a treat. 
Cold meats, cheeses, smoked fish, yoghurt and fresh pastries with homemade Jam set us up for our days out exploring nearby.
The Chateaux and Market at Chalais, the charming ‘beau village’ of Aubeterre and the wine tours around Bordeaux all within easy reach of this peaceful little haven.

Another lovely stay

Staying in the Coco Rooms is an unforgettable experience in a wonderful site with charming people who took up the affair only a few months ago. They are British and translate at every moment that exceptional sense of hospitality that characterizes our overseas neighbors, not to mention the sense of breakfast to fall to the ground. Breakfast is served on the terrace, facing the countryside: elegant dishes, porcelain, refined silverware, freshly baked wines, fresh bread, confectionery, sausage, cheese, freshly baked chicken, freshly baked chicken, freshly baked yogurt, freshly baked coffee, and steamed tea, etc.

That's wonderful.

We stayed at Les Chambres first for three nights, then decided on the spot to stay again for two nights on a return from the South of F a week later. We woke to beautiful views, the odd cluck of chickens, and the promise of another wonderful breakfast of croissant, baguette, yoghurt, fruit, cheese and more, with as much coffee as we could drink, not wanting to move until the hot morning sun forced us to.  The area is a very beautiful one, surrounded by fields of sunflowers and wheat, and you are a very short drive from the Beau Villages of Aubeterre sur Dronne, which contains a monolithic church and beautiful town square. The views from the house are complimented by the garden which you are free to wander through, or swim and lay by the pool.  A late night walk was wonderful at the edge of the cornfields. 
The owners, Joanne and Haydn are relaxed and charming and made us feel more than welcome.  
The rooms are bright, clean, very comfortable and with enough hints of luxury to stand out.  Some rooms are big enough for a family and all have air conditioning, which was a must for the hot temperatures that hit France at the start of July. The owners have two delightful and gorgeous dogs, who snoozed by day and kept wonderful company when asked to! We will definitely be back.

If there was a thousand stars button possible to rate this property I would. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and charming. We felt instantly at home in their gorgeous house and beautiful garden - loved every single second of being there and would really like to go back again next time we visit France. A massive thank you for making our trip so incredible.

Dream holiday home and hosts

We had a wonderful time - The property is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful. It is a well-designed house with plenty of space and the guest in mind. My bedroom was located next to two others so ideally for sharing with my family. Joanne and her husband are super hosts. Breakfast was a treat and very delicious with fresh breads and amazing scrambled egg. I am now back to work with a bang and all I really want to do is return and spend some time relaxing by the pool! I highly recommend this property.
