What a lovely place in the heart of Nantes with shops bars restaurants and train station within easy walk, only about 20 minutes to train station if that. Rustic building, you walk up a few stairs to reception and are greeted with a friendly smile, they knew my name and I was able to leave my luggage in reception as a 16:30 check in but they did ask if I needed my room at all. On check in I was provided with code for door to enter the building. I was offered breakfast at €6 per day and they said I could order on the day and explained I could have free tea and coffee in the morning if I wanted. 

The room was excellent very spacious with a large looks like super king size not sure but big, tv and wardrobe, table and chairs. You can open the windows wide to let in the air. Bathroom with shower, it’s like a studio apartment without the cooker and fridge. 

Clean and tidy throughout, there are a couple of sachets of shower/body gel so take your own, this is not a problem. I booked a year ago so price was excellent for the location. Free WiFi just accept terms and connect l, quiet and relaxing, you are in the centre so expect noise from bars outside when in festival period. You can shut the inner doors to the French windows and that will reduce any noise from outside I would book again without hesitation and I haven’t finished my stay yet, thank you.

What a delight!!!!

Very well situated in old Nante. A couple of blocks from "Place du Commerce" a central place for most public transport systems. It is also at a walking distance from the "Chateau des Ducs" and the Tourist Office. The room was simple. Might need some overhaul in the near future, especially the bathroom. There are different types and kinds of restaurants nearby. Many close of Sunday and or Monday or open late.

A clean simple room

Firstly, with this hotel you have to remember the price you are paying. We paid only £50 for a room in a great location, very large and clean room, very comfortable bed and excellent shower in terms of temperature and power.

We were here for only one night and it suited our needs just fine.

A few little niggles we had... the ‘bathroom’ is a boxed in corner of the room with no ceiling. The door often popped open whilst someone was in the shower / on the toilet. This wouldn’t be suitable if you were with someone you weren’t absolutely comfortable with.

The second niggle was the restricted check in times. The front desk is only manned until 1pm and then from 5pm
For check in. This meant that on arriving in Nantes we had nearly two hours to kill before we could get rid of our bags. The receptionist, despite limited English, worked with us to be able to leave our bags the next morning until around 1. Being used to hotels with full time front desks this was a little frustrating BUT was clearly stated when booking and I should have read things more carefully.

Would we stay here again... yes. For an overnight trip we would. Just keep your expectations fair 

Cheap and sufficient well located accommodation 

This is easier the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, if we hadn’t arrived so late I would not have stopped at all.  Don’t put your family though our experience, don’t stop here.  

Only positive was the receptionist was very polite and helpful with directions.  

Disgusting Hotel

Great location and very central destination in Nantes.  Bed very comfortable and room clean. No tea making facility and walls thin. Very easy to hear people next door.  Price  was reaaonable,  so I guess it depends  on what you are looking for and what's important  to you.

Good Value Budget Hotel 

Well the bed was freshly made everyday and was clean. The room was clean really but felt a bit horrible. The double glazing was first class though our view was a damp courtyard. The bathroom was pretty small and the toilet seat wouldn't stay up. Extra annoying when doing number 2's having it laying on your back. No kettle in room was really frustrating as well. It was all in all ok but just small and basic. It was though fantastically located near a main square with a fountain and by all the shops and the main bus stop/tram stop. So I would stay in this location if I ever came back to Nantes, but not at this hotel. It's worth paying a bit extra. No lift.

Hotel review, you get what you pay for.

This hotel is very well located in the city centre of Nantes in an old building. This is a small atypical hotel distributed on 3 floors. The desk and breakfast room are at the first floor and room on the upper level. I haven't seen any elevator so if you carry heavy luggage good luck. The rooms would need a good refreshing but the price is cheep so it is always difficult to do lots of work with little money. It is clean though and the breakfast is OK. The person at the desk was very helpful to find our way to some point in Nantes. To resume in one word I would say "Fair", it made the job!

OK for few nights

We travel as a couple and this is a second year we stay at the hotel. While we had a positive experience last year, I guess some things changed this year.
First of all, reception desk working hours are still odd and not convenient for travelers. When we arrived, we were given a room with floor shared toilet and shower (both of them in separate hallways, so imagine the trips) and a room with pretty old furniture. This one was spacious at least.
When we reacted, the reception desk person replied that they are now completely booked and this is the type of room we ordered, even though nothing of the sort was stated anywhere, and after he tried charging us for a more a expensive room!
On the second day, we even heard a person from Spain complaining how they did not have A DOOR IN THEIR TOILET and asking for one!
Instead of a door, he got offered a free breakfast as the most normal thing in the world....
No one speaks English, so you will need a lot of patience ((this applies to the overall city as well).
On the high side, everything was clean, in the very center and 20 minutes on foot from the main train station.

Second time stay, quite disapointed!

We stayed 3 nights in this one star hotel. We had two rooms to fit the five of us . While we were there 2 receptionist were there and both were as pleasant and helpful. The hotel was spotless. One room was quite cramped , the other was huge with high ceilings . It was right in the centre and we were able to walk everywhere. We went with the breakfast too as it was very reasonable and the kids love a buffet . I would happily recommend this hotel
