Hotel with loads of character including 4 stork nests on the roof away from the tourist trail. Spacious room, friendly staff and great food-both the breakfasts and the restaurant where we ate every one of the 3 nights we were here. Situated in a charming small town. Ok parking in the hotel yard.

Great food and loads of character

Outside the besten track - there you find this totally charming hotel. Setviceminded snd friendly staff, spacious rooms with individual style- that tells stories, and a fabulous restaurant in the garden ( added barbecue in the summer season) not a table free at 8 pm..

A gem in the landscape!

As I am a grumpy mature man- it's hard- but sometimes I have use the superlatives. Outside the beaten track- this soo charming hotel, and with a very nice kitchen as well. The rooms are original with details snd furniture that tells a story

At the time of writing there are 2 reviews in English and 62 in French. This says it all - this area is just not on the Brits radar. However the village is pretty as is the Vosges area which has some unusual features - like an inclined plane on the canal that replaced 17 locks. Both the area and this Logis hotel are well worth visiting.
The hotel is over 200 years old and was once the home of general Dorsner of Napoleon's army. We stayed in a room named in his honour. It was spacious, well decorated and well fitted out. Attatched to the main bedroom was a smaller room that would serve as a child's bedroom but was set up with a sofa and TV. The en-suite was very nice. Elsewhere this would be a "boutique hotel" costing 3 times the price. See my separate 5 star revue of the restaurant.
The one downside of this particular room - people congregate on the terrace below to smoke.

Very nice hotel in a pretty village and area

This is the most amazing village, very, very pretty and totally unspoilt, make sure you leave time for a walk around to have a look.
The hotel is wonderful with a very beautiful old staircase and delightful individual rooms, ours had beams both in the bedroom and in the bathroom so you had to be a bit careful not to hit your head. One of our group was particularly tall and the receptionist picked out a room especially so he wouldn't hit his head!
The dinner was amazing, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, would highly recommend.

Fantastic village, lovely hotel

This is a lovely historic building furnished with interesting artefacts and good taste.Very friendly staff are anxious to help.Breakfast is simple with little choice but is adequate.The restaurant is of high quality in every respect with an interesting ,well chosen wine list.The atmosphere is delighful and the service friendly and efficient.
The hotel has no lift and the staicase while magnificent is steep.Help was readily available with baggage butelderly or the unfit should choose a room on the lower level
