The hotel has an good location 5-10 mins from the Alsace-Lorraine tram stop on the tram to / from the airport and 5 mins walk from the Nice-Ville station (where you can catch trains to Monaco amongst other places). Entrance to the hotel & your  room is via pin. There are coffee / tea facilities in the room and robe / slippers too. The front desk is manned a couple of hours each day, but there is a contact number outside of these times. I didn't have breakfast on this occasion so cannot comment on that. 

Nice find in Nice

Stayed here this weekend just gone.  Very friendly and helpful proprietor who spoke excellent English to help my poor French
Room was warm, comfortable and met our needs well.
Had a fridge for our cold drinks and cheese plus a microwave to warm up our take away pizza when required.

A very clean and acceptable hotel

Hotel Berlioz locates in the center of Nice and in walking distance from seaside but the main advantage is that is opposite to Nice train station, so it is very easy to get the train to visit other places of French Riviera and come back. Hotel is good, budget but with clean comfortable rooms, nothing fancy but for the price I paid, which was around 50 euro, I was happy. There are shops and restaurants around even late at night. The only negative thing is that the owner who was very friendly and helpful otherwise and a fluent English speaker, ask me to leave the room at 10:30 AM, half an hour earlier than check out time which was at 11 AM, cause at exactly 11 he had to charge me a full day! That is the only reason I am not giving a 4th star.

Excellent  location!

Stayed here with my daughter for the final day of Monte Carlo or bust - run by Bust Rally’s. There is no parking outside but there is a multi story car park at the central railway station which is €23.50 a day. The room is very clean and on the second floor with a very small balcony. The room is air-conditioned and fine for a one or two days city break The room is air-conditioned and fine for a one or two day city break. Taxis from the city centre are around €15 after midnight. Alternatively you can walk this takes around 20 minutes. 

Road trip

Every morning I was up early and gone before anybody was there. I think it was day 3 before I met the owner, who was the first person that I saw in the hotel. Then a couple days later, the owner and his wife were there. I heard the occasional person coming up the steps. 

The room was simple but nice. I would stay there again. 

Odd Place

When we arrived nobody was there (12:30 am). They left our key at the "reception" with our names on it. We entered the room and we were shocked! Our room was in de cellar, had no windows and the smell was awful. We booked the room called "souterrain", so we knew it was in the cellar, but nowhere was written, that there was no window. Just an old air conditioner. We woke up several times at night because of the bad air. The towels smelled awfully and it was impossible to dry ours because of the high humidity.
Unfortunately there is no door to the bathroom - so no privacy.
Especially at night you hear the other tourists through the walls.
But at least there were some candies in the entrance.
