It was perfect! I am 25 years old and I found many people my age. The staff is always present and very friendly. Also, the hostel is close to the train station in Nice which takes you to all the other cities nearby such as Monaco, Cannes and Saint Tropez. I will definitely stay there again.

Hotel Baccarat was nice, we were woken with crossaints and orange juice on our first morning. We also got a bottle of champagne and good advice on how to enjoy the city at night (safely). The rooms were good, shower worked, the staff were reallty open friendly and kind. We met some amazing people here. Definately will stay in this hostel again. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Nice.

Great Atmosphere and the staff look after their guests to make sure they have a good time.

Upgraded us to a private room from a dorm at no extra charge. Also gave us a couple beers on the house. Karem is my boooooy. The boat photos on the wall made me sea sick so I had to take them down. Chur.

Just enjoying a coffee on the Promenade after a wonderful week in Nice with university friends, that Dan and the team at the Baccarat made possible for us.

The staff worked diligently to create a fantastic ambiance, with guests socialising and drinking in the picturesque courtyard until 10pm, after which music and sparkling white were enjoyed by all in the Chillout Poom (read: Room) by the reception. 

The hostel has a great location, a mere few minutes walk to Nice-Ville train station, as well as a variety of local eateries and supermarkets. The Promenade can be reached within 20 minutes on foot, straight down the Avenue de Jean Médecin.

Facilities were sufficient, and good air con was available in the rooms, which were clean.

Following a flight cancellation, it was even possible to organise the refund of my final day, which the receptionists dealt with professionally and promptly.

For a great value stay with great hosts on hand to enjoy it with, you really cannot go wrong with the Hotel Baccarat!

Brilliant Ambiance and Superb Staff

We booked a 6 bed dorm in this hostel (hotel?) and when we entered the room noticed that we had been upgraded to a double room. Nice surprise after our three week cycling trip. They also had no problem with us storing the bicycles there overnight and they were safe in the courtyard. Overall clean and basic room but all you can expect for this price! Staff were nice and the courtyard is nice to sit in. It's also very close to the beach and shops. The restaurants close by are great too. We didn't have breakfast but it looked basic as in other hostels I would assume. Overall, can definitely recommend this hostel/hotel.

Hostel Baccarat is a great hostel. Less than 5 minutes away from the main Nice station, it's perfect for anyone who is interrailing. The hostel is also only a short walk away from the beach which was extremely convenient. We were all provided with individual key-cards which allowed our group of friends to seperate without worrying about people having to wait up for each other. The rooms themselves have a basic bed, shower, toilet and towels and sheets are provided. There are also cages under the bed in which you can lock valuables providing you have a padlock. This made us feel like our stuff was safe and secure and we didn't need to worry about it whilst on a day out. The highlight of the hostel was the social space. With free "champagne" being offered every night and plenty of tables and seats, this room was perfect for meeting other travellers and allowed us to make loads of friends and have fun with them till late in the night. 

Very basic but has everything you need 

This was our second time in a hostel and had to book this place because every hotel in nice in April 2018 was priced way too much to only spend a few nights. We were here for a total of 4 nights. The hostel staff was really really friendly. Knew all the best ways to eat and get around. The hostel also has access to a kitchen (so handy if eating out gets too expensive),  two desktops and free internet in case you wanted to book something last minute or just browse. The guests there are super friendly too. Met some really fun people and got some tips on transport/restaurants/bar. They seem to have dorm rooms with communal shower and private rooms with bathroom with a double bed. We checked in quite late in the evening and the room on our first day wasn't very clean and smelled a bit damp so we brought it up with the lady at reception the next day. She was really helpful and offered us another room which was much bigger, no smell and also had a balcony.  It could be cleaner but really at the rate we booked, we were quite happy. Also we were out and about mostly so couldn't care less as long as the sheets were clean for us to sleep in. Also got fresh towels everyday. Overall, 5 stars (lost one due to cleanliness) - highly recommend for anyone  travelling on a budget.

Freindly staff, Affordable and great location!

Staff/ service- EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I can't emphasise this enough. Out of all the budget hostels we stayed at, they were the most friendly and helpful. We encountered a problem at about 3 am on our first night with one of the other occupants in the room. We went to the reception at 3 am itself and the staff was kind enough to immediately move us to an ensuite double room (with 2 single beds) with no extra charge. We didn't mind paying but they insisted that we did not have to. Also, when i wanted to print some documents for my flight, they insisted fro me not to pay. the owner himself came to check in on us the next morning. Very very nice staff. 

Location- basically in the city so it's very convenient, plus it is just a couple of minutes walk from the nearest train station

Room, amenities (etc.)- we got a mixed dorm and i would probably rate it bout 3 stars but assuming it is a budget hostel so I didn't expect as much. Quite clean though so that was enough for me.

Kitchen, facilities- they have a shared kitchen across the courtyard which is very convenient especially for students if you want to cook and save money on the expensive food outside. There are all the basics such as a fridge, microwaves, stoves, plates, cutlery, pots and pans and all those. They have a lounge are and a computer room where you can access the internet and such. 

Overall, they gave us a good experience for our stay.

2 night holiday

It was an "ok stay" in a 6-bed dorm room which although "somewhat crowded" was one with a "big desk" (to get things done outside the bed).  So, just an average accommodation in itself suitable for a "short stay" in my opinion (but yes to be fair also with a "reasonable rate here" in a popular seafront city like Nice!), the best about this place actually is the "area around" which really is quite a vibrant one with plenty of establishments for miscellaneous shopping (among which my suggestion for food being the "2 small restaurants", one Arabic & one Chinese, and yes also the McDonald's, all three just within a few-minute walk from this place) and also where the Nice-Ville train station is just about a 5-minute walk away (so quite easy for my "day trip" to Monaco taking a direct train to Monte Carlo).  And not too nearby, but also not too far from this place (just about a 10-minute walk) is the city's "main square" Place Massena with some beautiful heritage buildings around it and from which the city's waterfront is just a further 5-minute walk (mostly a "pebble beach" though with just a "tiny sand" area).

Baccarat is located near the train station, and right next to the main walking street in Nice.
Beach can be reached after a 25min walk, just like the old town.
Rooms could be cleaner, the bathroom is tiny but tidy.
The staff is really helpful, they can suggest you places to visit, to eat, etc.
Also, the place has a really cute garden, where you can enjoy a glass of wine
