We stayed just one night at this charming little hotel for the rugby World Cup. The owners were very polite and helpful, and the rooms were delightful. Super clean and spacious. I liked the decor very much. The dining room and breakfast were just perfect for our requirements too.   I really liked Lille too and shall return for a longer stay - and would be more than happy to stay at La Villa again.

Charming small hotel

Easy to find. There are stairs so bare that in mind. Breakfast was lovely. I have a very limited french vocabulary but we made it work with no problem. We had a great time. Vegetarian buffet breakfast was delicious with good quality food. It is expensive but lovely. 

Great place to lay over for the Eurostar.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of an Interrail trip. 
This is a lovely restored art-deco building in the heart of Lille. The property is shared by guests and the host's family. It has recently been restored. The guest rooms are all on the upper floors - there is no lift.
The host is incredibly helpful - we were allowed to get to our room well before the official check-in time, and she was helpful when we had a family emergency on the morning of our departure.
The room we had - on the first floor - was perfectly adequate, although I did find the shower very slippery!
Breakfast was really nice and set us up for the day.
Despite being in a city centre location there was no significant noise from the road at night.
Guests need to be aware of the steep steps to the accommodation.

I have nothing to say: the rooms are clean, the staff is hospitable, good breakfast, good price ratio, good facilities and a game table available in the room on the fifth floor.

Very welcome. The location is central and the room is very comfortable. We really appreciated sharing it with the owners. The good plans offered are great! no key but codes and that too is very appreciated level place in a bag. The bed is comfortable. In short, we really strongly recommend this place for a discovery stay in Lille

Nice stay in Lille.

Don't look elsewhere for accommodation in Lille. It's hard to list all the positive points so there are so many here: the ideal location, you'll do everything on foot and if you come by car a secure underground parking lot is not even 400m (and wide enough for imposing vehicles); the house is decorated with a lot of taste, we feel like home; special mention for the quality of the bedding, a happiness; everything is very clean with all the comfort we can look for in a morning room with a nespresso machine and kettle in each room, a glove and toilet in the waiting rooms with dry hair. Catherine also served to put a mosquito-resistant where we can (maybe without sleeping in the windows and eating breakfast or a little breakfast) but we can't even think about it. Thanks to Catherine, we can't even get back to the restaurant.

The Perfect Place

We booked a 2-day stay at La Villa 30 to take place in August 2022. In early April 2022 we received an email cancelling our booking. No reason was given by the “hotel” for taking this action, they just hoped we could find an alternative.
This represents a very poor attitude towards customers in general and perhaps supports other reviews where rooms were downgraded due to original rooms having been given to “preferred” customers.
This disregard for contractual agreements and “pick and choose” approach to customers belongs to a bygone age.
I am thankful not to have been exposed to the personalities lurking behind this business facade.

Confirmed Booking Cancelled and No Reason Given

My husband invited me for our 10 years in Lille on the weekend. Not only is the situation exceptional, but the rooms are top-notch. And that's not all: Catherine's hospitality and kindness, the nice breakfast, the friendliness of the place.

If you want to stay in Lille, this is it ❤️

We stayed here for our last night of holiday (Belgium and Maastricht) before catching the Eurostar back to London. 
Not a large room, but smart and well-kept, with nice shower room adjoining, and even a tiny balcony to sit out on a warm evening. A friendly, helpful welcome with good suggestions for a quick sightseeing walk and pointer to an excellent restaurant for dinner. 
Breakfast was plentiful and very good, and the room has lovely period detail (a huge deco stained glass window). Would be happy to stay here again if return to Lille - and I hope we will.

Friendly and characterful B&B

Villa 30 is ideally located and we had no problem getting to the centre of Lille in a few minutes. The owner's reception was very warm, despite a delay independent of our will. The room was quite spacious, well equipped and clean. Breakfast was perfect. Parking in the establishment is certainly affordable but very convenient. Thank you for all Catherine and perhaps soon!
