Took a chance on this at the last minute and absolutely loved everything about it. Not least Oso Maria himself, who when we got lost  ten miles away in the chestnut woods came and collected us. The situatiion is spectacular. the views stunning, the place itseldf well and thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, very good room, good shower and a great pool. Delicious breakfast.  The walking is to die for. Out of season, so there weren 't enough of us staying to justify dinner but there are two restaurants a short drive away. A real find.

Just wonderful

This is a lovely B & B set in staggeringly beautiful (somewhat remote) countryside - the host is a really interesting man who did his utmost to make our stay enjoyable - our room was stylishly furnished and very clean, but for me, I found that the lack of a balcony / no aircon made it rather difficult to sleep on hot stuffy nights - however, set on a steep hillside with views to die for and a lovely pool this really is a super place to stay - it's even got a luggage lift to take your cases up to your room on the upper levels of the house - as per usual, iffy wifi - lovely breakfasts were prepared by a local Corsican lady called Vanessa who was charming - she also prepared an evening meal of local fare, cheeses, charcuterie, wine etc which was lovely.
However, unfortunately everything comes at a price - Corsica has definitely become an expensive venue - I paid over 320 euros for the room B & B for 2 nights (the dinner was extra - about 22 euros a head ?) which I think is a little steep !  If you're ok with the cost, then I can highly recommend Casa Orso Maria and it is in a great area for walking / mountain biking if that's your thing !

Super B & B with views to die for !!

First of all, would like to thank Mimi, our lovely host for everything he has done for us.

This is a fantastic property in an amazing setting.  Was our second visit - not disappointed at all.  Just like at 5* luxury end.

Exceptionally clean swimming pool and sauna. The views - to die for.

Casa Orso Maria - Second visit

My wife and I stayed at Casa Orso Maria in early May with our 6 month old son. Orso is very kind and welcoming, especially with our baby, and everyday he would offer us tea or coffee and biscuits in the afternoon when we returned to the hotel.

Dinner at the communal table is very relaxed, and the kind woman who prepared breakfast and dinner, Vanessa, is a very good cook. Breakfast consisted of coffee, fresh orange juice, croissants, bread and butter, as well as a variety of local and absolutely delicious jams/confiture. Dinner was normally soup, bread, a plate of local charcuterie, a plate of local cheeses, and dessert. Orso and Vanessa were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions (we're vegetarian), always making us a special meal for dinner.

The rooms are clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the showers were warm and had good pressure. There are several nice public spaces to sit/relax in, e.g the garden, a terrace, the pool, and 2 indoor lounges, etc. 

We unfortunately couldn't use the pool even though it was heated, as the weather in early May was still a bit cold. However the hammam inside was absolutely great.

The setting of the hotel is also very nice, as it looks out over the hills and the mountains, and is in a quiet and small tranquil village. In 15 to 20 minutes you can drive to other villages, or start different types of walks or hikes.

We would highly recommend staying here as Orso's welcome, the setting, the meals, and the hotel are all terrific.

Great hotel/gite and great welcome! 

This is a magnificent B&B with all luxury in the rooms. Very clean swimming pool, exterior elevator and nice breakfast. The very sympathetic owner is proud of his property, his village and his island. He demonstrates this in the dinners he serves on demand. He explains everything about excursions to do, and places to visit in the region.

Excellent B&B

This is an excellent accommodation if you are looking for something special in a very quite surrounding. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped. The owner is the perfect host. We were the only two guests at the time and were welcomed in a grand way. In the evening the owner took us to a restaurant we wouldn't have found on our own. He also provided us with a program for the next day incl. suggestions for dinner. The house has a lovely, well tended pool and small garden. Breakfast is perfect. All fresh ingredients. The route to the Casa is not the easiest one, taking into account that you have to reckon with cows or pigs around the corner of every bent in the road. But it is a beautiful route through the Northern Corsican mountains. A well recommended accommodation.
