We arrived early and the owner pleasantly let us in to our room. We stayed two nights (for our anniversary) in the romantic room. This very spacious apartment had a nice bed, gigantic salle de bain (separate toilet) and sitting area. Free wireless (it worked in some parts of the room but not others) was provided and there was even an electronic fireplace. The owner was very pleasant. She claimed that she had little english, but I suspect that she could get by if you needed to. She gave us the local short cut to different places in the area. The breakfast was mainly carbohydrates (breads), but what made it special was the homemade jams and yogurt that she provided. Overall a true bargain at the price. Parking available on site. Wonderful location for exploring the Loire valley vineyards and chateau.

Romantic room in wonderful chambres d'hotes

Our room was absolutely gorgeous!! Spacious, clean, comfortable, romantic -- stunning. We were in the room with the red walls that you can see in the photos on the website, and it is exactly as pictured or maybe better. Because the hotel is far from restaurants and we were reluctant to bike the street in dark, our host was willing to allow us  to purchase cheese, charcuterie, bread and wine and use the breakfast room. Breakfast the next day was very typical with breads and lots of unique homemade preserves. Practice your French because you will need it here. 

Gorgeous!!!!!

We had a wondeful stay at La Meuvoise. The place is very beautiful and the rooms are spacious (the owner renovated the place in 2014, with great style and comfortable, modern amenities). It is possible to park your car and your bikes in front of the house, and several great castles of the Loire valley are within easy reach by car or by bike (Chaumont-sur-Loire, Blois, Amboise...). The breakfast is very good with fresh orange juice and the owner is very friendly and helpful. In short, everything was perfect!

A wonderful B&B = comfy, modern and with a personal touch

You would be hard-pressed trying to find a nicer room at a luxury hotel, let alone chambres d'hotes, but the owners have done an amazing job with this place. Very spacious, all newly fitted out and no detail has been overlooked. It was a great base for our four nights in the Loire valley. The location is pretty good - about 20 min to Amboise and Blois, Chaumont is only 5 min away and there are nice restaurants within 10 min. The breakfast was good. Be aware that English is not spoken - it didn't bother us, after all we were of course travelling in France! But I will practice before we return. Last thing - you won't find better value anywhere for a place this nice.

Beautiful converted building, top rooms

We stayed here for one evening in September 2014 on our way back up France from the south to break up the journey. We wanted somewhere close to Tours and Chenonceau about 3 hours from Le Havre.  We found the Chambres D'Hotes via Booking.com. It was in a convenient location and looked good so we booked. This is a beautiful and lovingly restored old winery, it took the owners 3 years to restore and it has truly been beautifully done. Our room is gorgeous, spacious, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.  The hosts invite guests for a drink at 7pm which is a lovely touch. We sampled local rose wine and some delicious home made canapés. We also had a good conversation and saw the photos of the renovations, we'll worth seeing! Our host booked us into a great local restaurant nearby for dinner called Auberge de la Croix Blanche.  Very thoughtful to ask about our dinner plans and to book us in. This is truly a beautiful place to stay, all amenities top of the range, hi speed wifi in room and very comfy bed! Highly recommended, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!
