If your goal is to relax and take the occasional trip to a Rhône Valley vineyard, look no further than to Guy’s peaceful retreat. It couldn’t be more postcard worthy, with the pool in the middle of the beautiful garden, surrounded by big trees and old stone buildings. The owner doesn’t speak English, but communicating with him is easy enough. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the whole area is very quiet at all times. Guy leaves a lot of autonomy to his guests, and only asks that a few quiet siesta hours in the afternoon are respected, for the sake of everybody. If we’re ever around these parts again, the Mas will surely be our first choice again.

An oasis in the middle of nowhere 

The Mas d'Orsan is one of our favorite places in France. Guy, the owner, is discret, gentle and så service minded. We felt at home in every moment when here. The courtyard, the rooms and all the premises are furnitured and decorated with immense good taste and style. This is a jewel and a well being for the body and the soul. Highly recommend this place. 

A quiet and adorable place in a beautiful and genuine region.

We spent 5 nights at Mas d'Orsan in July. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the main building and benefited from air conditioning which was very welcome. The room was very comfortable and quiet and the grounds are beautiful. Even though there were other people around there was generally a quiet spot in the garden and quiet times to swim in the pool. Breakfasts were excellent and we appreciated the use of a fridge and small kitchen area. Orsan is a small village with 2 restaurants but watch the opening hours as these are a bit limited ( no dinner on Sunday or Monday). It is well placed for Avignon, Uzes and the Pont du Gard and there are some lovely small villages and sights around. Guy was very helpful in his recommendations and advice with parking, restaurants etc.

Luxury Chambre d'hotes

We stayed 5 nights at Le Mas D'Orsan, our host Guy was very welcoming. Our room was a generous size & the secure courtyard car park was very good.
We had breakfast included but after 5 mornings it had little choice. Very French with baguette, croissant & coffee. Some fruit or cheese & ham might have made breakfast better.
The pool area is wonderful & if you are looking for relaxation this place is perfect. There are apartments at the pool with washing & kitchen facilities. 
Orsan is a quiet village & central to all other tourist spots.
However there is only 1 restaurant so a short drive to other towns for variety of food is required. If you choose the apartment, you are able to prepare your own meals.
WiFi is available at the pool side but very poor signal.
We had a pleasant stay but 5 nights was too long.


Relaxing

The host is a funny Guy :-) who likes to have a chat...
I've stayed there with 2 friends in 3 separate rooms for the Ventouxman. Rooms are very spacious and lovely with a very nice bathroom.
They have a marvellous garden.
Nothing to see in Orsan apart from the very good restaurant Soleiade. 
They don't serve coca-cola and have an empty fridge. You have to bring your own food/drinks for during the day.
Breakfast was quality food but not so much to choose from.
Overall a good b&b

An oasis of calm

We recently spent a long weekend at the Mas d'Orsan and had a wonderful time.

The house is beautifully situated in a quiet part of the village of Orsan, well connected and an easy distance to all the region's highlights, from Avigon to Nîmes and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. The owners have spent a lot of thought, time and effort in their renovation of the rooms and facilities. When you first drive up, you are greeted by a medieval gateway and all the rooms have a very pleasant contemporary look and feel. The biggest thrill is when you walk through the second door into the inner courtyard of the main house. The view out onto the pool and the beautifully landscaped garden is anyone's ideal of a perfect provencal getaway. Guy is a fantastic and very experienced and committed host. We arranged to take advantage of their table d'hôte dinner service and were treated to a tasty experience of great food, wine and cheese topped off by a delicious tarte aux pommes for dessert. If you are visiting the region to do some cycling this is the perfect location for endless rides of varying degrees of length and difficulty. The owners were very accommodating about our bike gear and cyclist needs. This is definitely a place we look forward to returning whenever we are back in the region.
