The Maison St. Michel was one of the best places that we have stayed in all of France over many different trips. First, Paimpol itself is a wonderful, friendly town, with its beautiful old centre-ville and harbor. The Maison is within walking distance of everything, including the train station, which we used. The premises are beautiful and quiet--housed in what once was a convent, but now with all the amenities without losing its old charm. We rented a room for 5 days that included a kitchen, living/dining area, separate bedroom and bathroom with shower. It was cosy and comfortable. The breakfasts were incredible and plentiful, that included everything from fresh croissants and baguettes, to cereal, homemade jams and yogurt, and much more. Very impressive. But we were most impressed with our warm and friendly hosts, Pascal and Anne. They never stopped answering our questions, giving us advice, and meeting every need. They are actually our fondest memory of Paimpol! We hope to return to see Pascal, Anne and Paimpol again next year. Thank you! Mark & Barbara USA
