We have booked 2 nights here prior to returning to UK with friends and so glad we did. The property is run so efficiently by its host and she was more than helpful during our stay. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset and the setting is glorious with far reaching views over the local vines. Breakfast was exceptionally good and fresh and set us all up. Having a glass or two of the Domaines wines by the pool was great and their cave is worthy of a visit. Great stay and would return.

We stayed here for two nights and used it as a base to further explore the Loire Valley (we have been coming to the Loire for many years). Marie-Claude was unfailingly helpful and went out of her way to recommend other attractions that we had not yet seen (Chateau de Breze and Fontrevaud). The place was pretty, well situated, clean and easily accesssible. We ate out in Chinon which has a variety of bars and restaurants available. I would recommend staying here.

Unfailingly helpful

This place really is the definition of idyllic. You sit in your room or on the terrace and look over the winery and vineyard and onto the countryside beyond. It looks like a picture, and just enjoyable to be there. 

But, this is someone’s house, and you need to be prepared that Madame and her family are around much of the time, and you don’t get as much peace and quiet as you might like. 

Also, if you plan to eat in during the evening, there is a fridge and a microwave + access to cutlery and crockery, but no facilities to prepare hot food. 

Our room could be described as French farmhouse shabby-chic......but no hairdryer, TV, WiFi, fridge or stand-up shower. That may be fine if simply using as a pit-stop, but I would suggest 2 nights max. 

Breakfast was great - fresh fruit, bread, croissants and excellent coffee. 

Stunning location, but limited facilities 

Every thing is perfect about this property and its vineyards! The host and Maya dog are great, we tried rose from the cellar and is really worth it! This place has got everything one really needs if ones wants to explore the local way of living... very calm and relaxing. We gave up on visiting the surroundings, just to spend every moment of our the Loire Valley trip at the Domaine Beauséjour...

Outstanding

We loved our 2-day stay here. 

The place is beautiful. Acres or vineyards, quiet, and the house is on a small hill that overlooks all this beauty. We spent many hours sitting on the terrace, looking around, and just enjoying the beauty of the area. 

We got the high-turret room, which is a stand-alone outhouse with lovely views again. I'd recommend it whole-heartedly. 

We loved the wine produced by the winery, and took home a few bottles. 

But what made this trip particularly beautiful was the excellent hospitality of Madame Marie Claude. She gave us a tour of the cellar and let us sample many of the wines. She was very friendly, gave us a history of the place, and made sure we were as comfortable as we could be. My wife was a bit sick during the trip, so one morning, I went to ask Madame Marie Claude of a place nearby where I could get something warm, like a soup. She would hear none of it, and quickly microwaved some soup for my wife, and also made me a delicious sandwich so I wouldn't go hungry. 

We loved her dog, Jazz. Very friendly and playful. 

We had a wonderful and memorable stay here.

Beautiful place, warm hospitality

In July 2015 we visit this beautiful place during 3 days. The owner welcomes us very friendly and helped us book tables at restaurants and to some attractions. The room was nice and charming, with a small private place outside. We got a lovely view over the vineyard and valley. It was very hot these days, so we had no air conditioning (but a fan during the night). The pool was therefore perfect to cool off in. I can recommend Dom. de Beausejour for a visit and we will definitely come back again.

Perfect stay at a vineyard B&B

The view from the breakfast terrace right across the vineyards and river valley, is really something special.  We've stayed here many times, the hospitality is warm and nothing is too much trouble. Marie-Claude speaks excellent english and french, and i'm sure must have tried all the attractions and restaurants she recommends.  The local area is great for gastronomy, wine, outdoor activities like cycling and canoeing, or visiting spectacular, chateaus, gardens, and historic lively towns with great markets.  Great for couples and families.  We love the place I'm sure you will.

A location to die for and hospitality to match

We visited the winery without the intention of staying the night.... so our review will be slanted accordingly. 
We love good red wines and this was recommended by a colleague to go try.  Getting there is easy enough and the winery is well marked. 

The interior felt a bit too much like a knick knack shop with clutter everywhere.  While obviously a working winery,  there weren't the traditional personalities we see often expressed: the proud cellar,  the working man's table, the wine caves or vault, the posh tasting room...

The staff was very welcoming and pleasant.   The family, as most in this business,  is well connected in the industry but didn't seem as enthusiastic about the land and the culture of wine making as most. .. it seemed for most purposes just a business.  While we all know wine is a big business,  when tasting or on a vineyard we like to forget that and drop into the beauty of the setting and flavors.

The wine... we bought some more for the value than the pallette.  The 2009 Rouge was delicate and lightly fruity and very well rounded mouth feel.  While we bought more wine elsewhere, this was a good value for the price.

NET: There are many vineyards to taste in loire, and we would not rank this amongst the top,  but the price value is compelling and the sprawl of the vineyards outside are quite breathtaking on a clear or overcast day.  Visit if you are passing by but don't go out of your way.
