Domaine de Boudet

Domaine Boudet was the best accommodation we stayed in during our European trip in August 2011. Better than many 4 or 5 stars hotels we stayed in, and just for a fraction of the price, just a mere 85 EUR a night breakfast included, I don’t think you can do better than that!! The rooms are HUGE (massive open bathroom with great shower) with a lot of light, very nicely decorated and the hosts are fantastic. They could recommend the best restaurants around and were making the booking for us every evening, giving us local tips on what to see/ where to go during our stay, providing maps etc.. all in all could not have been better. The breakfast were amazing, in addition to croissants, pains au chocolat, baguette with nice butter and homemade jam, we also had every day a freshly baked cake/ local speciality. Nice pool also, big garden and plenty of space. The village itself is very nice, just 6km away from Carcassonne, walking distance to the canal du Midi, with a nice bakery where you can buy fresh bread for picnics before heading to one of the marvellous local medieval cathars castles around. We were very sorry to leave and will definitively go back there and stay longer next time!
