This was service with charm and information about the region with Philippe and the wine cellar and knowledge to make you in awe of a man so helpful you can only wish to return for more. A chef with passion and a love for sharing his home with guests-do not pass this place.

What a surprise from the main road -inside was  stunning with view of the river

Do not be deceived by the front of this Chambre d'Hotes, once through the door it is a delight with splendid views from the rear overlooking the Dordogne. The owner Philippe DUPONT is charming, helpful an excellent chef with amazingly knowledgable on the local wines. I would recommend anyone interested in the wine region to stay here.    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

A very pleasant surprise

Located convenient to the main rd with views over the river. Limited roadside parking outside the premises. Clean comfortable rooms with en suite showers. Basic but adequate breakfast. Run by a very friendly, helpful owner who is also an excellent chef. See other reviews of restaurant. I would stay again for sure if i was back in the area. 

Great find

The hotel is located on the banks Dordogne with lovely river views from the rooms. There are only a few rooms. 
The breakfast weather permitting is on the terrace overlooking the river and garden to the sounds of birds and frogs. 
Parking is on the street but we were assured that it is safe. 
Dinner is definitely the high point and the proprietor is an excellent cook with most herbs collected from his garden across the road.  The kitchen is spectacular. 
He is also an excellent host and makes his guests feel at home. 
The only problem maybe that because this is an old house the floors creak and if you have a lot of guests walking around. 
The decoration with a mixture of French antique furniture is beautiful

A nice  getaway

The rooms were spacious and acceptably clean, with a nice en-suite bathroom.  Phillipe the proprietor was welcoming and helpful.  We booked dinner for two evenings during our stay and the food was a gastronomic delight. This lttle Chambre d'hote is sited on the banks of the Dordogne about 12 miles from Bergerac and offers stunning views of the river. Lovely terrace for enjoying great food and wine although the wine a teeny bit expensive.  Wifi connection was not brilliant but better than nothing.
Just on the downside, although we stayed for four nights, the rooms were never serviced and towels and shower gel were not replenished during our stay, we had to ask for loo rolls.  The towels were rather discoloured and greyish looking too, new towels and a daily room service clean would go a long way to improving the overall perception.
