-The Short - 

We had a lovely couple of nights stay. The room was lovely and clean with a comfy bed and en suite. There was a great selection for breakfast and the use of the pool and pool table was great.

-The Long-

The hotel was a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. Located in a quite little village it has a nice park on the other side of the road to walk around on a night as well as a grill restaurant within a 5min walking distance.

The room (Vouvray) was lovely a spacious and extremely clean with a great en suite shower and toilet. The bed was comfy and clean. We had two singles pushed together but you wouldn't have known that when sleeping.

The hotel has great facilities including off street parking, pool, pool table and drink (hot and cold) available all times of the day.

Breakfast was amazing we a range of homemade products including pastries, yoghurt, preserves and treats from the local bakery plus coffee and juice.

The hosts are fantastic and lovely to chat to in the morning and have good information about the area. They are warming and welcoming.

Overall, it was fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely and Comfortable Stay

One of the best B&B's we have ever stay in. The couple who own it are lovely. Breakfast is excellent, rooms are the best with very comfy beds. It has a pool table and swimming pool all well looked after. Free parking included.

Great B&B

What an absolute delight. We so enjoyed this B&B that we are fantasizing how to reserve the whole place for a future family trip. Patrick and Isabel welcome all guests warmly and with enthusiasm. 
Before arriving to our room we were greatly impressed by the number of beautiful spaces at our disposal for sitting, eating, reading, gathering. Each with comfortable seating and amenities including free refreshments. 
Private parking is a plus, a swimming pool in warmer months, terrace spaces outside, and a chateau and walking park across the street. And the breakfasts! A feast for the eyes and palate.  Isabel is amazing, offering fresh squeezed orange juice,  a morning cake,  homemade yogurts and jams, delicious breads, wonderful coffee and teas, and even eggs if so desired. 
Patrick and Isabel make non-French speakers welcome with their ability to communicate in English.  They have a wealth of information available to each traveler. And if you are lucky enough to read in French, then do not hesitate to ask Isabel for title recommendations.  She has an extensive library and a wealth of knowledge on books, both contemporary and past. Our room was updated, comfortable and lovely with its window view of the courtyard below. 
A perfect stay in every way.

A Total Delight

We stay with Patrick and his charming wife for three nights to visit the chateaus around Amboise. The very well restored B&B is in excellent condition, the rooms are nice and spacious and the breakfast is definitely outstanding with home made Marmelade and fantastic croissants to start the day. Breakfast is served outside in the beautiful and romantic courtyard if weather is permitting. 
A special feature of this small boutique B&B is well maintained Pool in the garden where you can go for a quick swim after a day of chateau visits to recover.

Having read the dreadful reviews for this lovely B & B, I can only think that Marie has now moved on and Patrick & Isobel have truly made this a place worth visiting.  We booked the St. Vincent's Closerie as a stop off to break our journey on the way home to the U.K. Patrick & Isabelle are experienced hosts and are friendly and professional. They offer a choice of rooms. Ours was beautifully decorated, with a huge comfortable bed, high end bed linen and lovely pillows. The immaculate bathroom had a really great shower. Breakfast was set in the dining room, with home made jams, fresh orange juice and Patrick was quick to whip up some scrambled eggs for us. We had reached the Closerie quite late the evening before. As a result, Patrick kindly booked us a dinner reservation at a local restaurant, which was a short, delightful walk away through a small park. The whole experience was idyllic and an excellent way to end our stay in France. Thank you Patrick & Isabelle, we can't wait to come back!

A change of ownership - such a delight!

I booked three nights at this hotel for my family, but due to Covid restrictions from the US I had to cancel my booking. I cancelled 60 days in advance, which is well within their cancellation window and rules outlined in their confirmation email. After more than four months, the hotel has refused to answer any communication regarding our deposit refund. I am shocked by not only the refusal to respond,  but the overt thievery of keeping funds that are legally owed to me based on a policy that they themselves set! I have never experienced such blatant lack of care for guests. Clearly there is no thought or care behind this operation - they just want your money.  Will be staying elsewhere next time I’m in the Loire.

Unprofessional and inhospitable

Spent one night here, room was very spacious with view over the courtyard, well fitted bathroom.  Marie was welcoming and explained everything clearly.  Breakfast was continental with fresh produce, home made yoghurts and jam.
Located near to Amboise, easy drive in.
Private parking if required although it could do with a light down the spiral staircase once the nights get darker.

Nice stay, good location.

I was compelled to cancel my Saturday night reservation FOUR days before arrival due to sickness. I was prepared to lose my deposit but not the whole night's payment. The lady on the phone first told me she had not received notice of cancellation. Once I proved that I had cancelled, she said she never read the notice. Once proved that I had been opened she said she had no wish to refund me. A ruder person, less understanding of the fact that my wife was taken to hospital... you could not meet.

Rude and aggressive

Mistake on their website, booked for 3 people, they confirmed just 2.  Not good for us.  They offered a refund and we have not received it yet.  It has been 2 months now and they do not answer phonically or emails.
What does it mean to keep money it isn't yours????.....THIEVES

NOT SERIOUS PEOPLE, PAID AND NEVER REFUNDED EVEN AFTER CANCELLING

We spent a night at La Closerie St Vincent when visiting castles of the region in September. Personally welcomed by Marie we were guided to our rooms - spacious, clean and decorated with a style. After a relaxing night we had a fresh breakfast while talking with Marie. 
The only note - when staying in the room close to the stairs & dining room, you risk to be disturbed by the noise from the morning check-outs.
