An idyllic place, for those who enjoy the quiet, the beautifully decorated rooms, the heated swimming pool, the small gym with sauna, the kindness of the owners who are always willing to provide service and make your stay warm and unforgettable. Thank you to Glen and Valérie. No doubt a place to recommend! PS: I forgot a detail and not the slightest....Excellent breakfast with homemade jam... Jean

This is an excellent week.

The common area is very pleasant, large (we had lunch for 11 people), well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, 2 coffee shops...) and with a very nice terrace. The owners are very friendly, forward-looking and very arranged (racket proposal for the ping-pong table, autonomy for the pool...). We recommend this common area closed. If we had a small reproach it would be the lack of commerce in the common area (no bakery). We would be ready to make another stay in this town.

It's beautiful

After a gift from Box Dakota we stayed for 2 nights at the Paradise Relay in Forges 17290. The site is very nice, very quiet but we were disappointed by 4 points not bad each but ended up ruining our mini stay. When we arrived our host warned us that the pool is not usable following a breakdown from the previous week. That the internet is not working either after several trials with him no network. That the TV is also not. Finally the meals while being good was very simple.

It's not much better than that.

We spent a whole week here in July where it was agreed that we were fine, if it was fine. Now this was fine. Come on, I love, without reservation, and the environment and the warm presence and the marked availability of the owners. His own as his own, and vice versa, did I seem emphatic. Glen has this confusing British flame from which he rarely leaves. Finally, this is what he appears to have. In short, the English speakers will be in the hands of a compatriot, and the Anglican nationals [of our send France] will be in a keen desire to exchange with him in English. Glen is also in fact the key to what the original man may have been called the unintelligible man by Albion.

That's the gateway to my faith

We stayed at Les Hotes du Paradis for two nights on a two week holiday in France. This is by far the best accomadation we stayed in during that time. 
It is situated in a quiet village 20 mins from La Rochelle.

Glen who speaks English and French is the recent new owner of this chambres d' hotes which offers a lot more than is visible on their website. 
I was fortunate enough to be shown around all 5 rooma that were available ,I have to say the photos on their website do not do them justice. All rooms are bigger than they look offering plenty of wardrobe space and an area where you can relax.  There's also a  shared T.V. area with sofas available .

Their outside area is really well laid out with a swimming pool area with sunbeds - a garden area with seating  -  an extended enclosed garden where children could play - a seperate area for parking. Glen offers soft drinks wine and beer at a reasonable cost which is served in the dining building next to the pool.

We would recommend this chambers d' hotes very highly. We hope to return  next  summer  for a  couple of weeks  to enjoy  the pool and Glens outstanding hospitality.

A hidden gem

We stayed in this charming place in August. The name is very well chosen is paradise. The rooms are impeccable and beautifully decorated, the bed is comfortable. It is also a perfect place to visit the area. It was very pleasant. The breakfast is also very good and the welcome is very warm! We recommend!
