Lovely campsite.  Clean and good amenities.    However, entertainment very disappointing.   The girls can't be faulted on what must be a nearly zero budget.  They put the effort in so it is not there fault.  But your site is taking by my calculations at least 10,000 euros per day, probably 20,000 or more.  Come on!  Put some proper entertainment on.  Musicians, bands, shows!  Skipping, and dancing is ok early for kids, but something a bit more later on.  Personally,  I would far rather revisit other yelloh village sites that have a more suitable entertainment budget.

Not as good as it should be.

Despite the lovely campsite, we were made to feel very unwelcome in the bar. We would arrive to empty tables (literally 20 plus empty tables) every night without exception but because we only buy drinks - two each, we were told, every night that the tables are all booked, we aren’t allowed to sit at them and they are reserved for people eating. We are then directed outside. When we leave, an hour later, all the tables are still empty. Don’t bother visiting. Staff are rude, unhelpful and disrespectful.

Staff are terrible!

This campsite is brilliant for families. There is always plenty to do with incredibly helpful staff. The lake on site is a great bonus as well as the pools. The toilets and showers are impeccable- comparable to some hotels.
The staff entertained kids well as well as being incredibly helpful. Our daughter was unwell whilst here- staff organised a doctors appointments, communicated with them and gave us directions- faultless. If you have young kids this is the site for you. Great sized pitches as well.

Family friendly

We stayed in the chalets which was far from camping. They had aircon, TV (english channels), kichen with dish washer... The kids had plenty of space, and we had a veranda which we sat on every morning for breakfast. We were right opposite the lake, where our 12 year old learnt how to wake board. Every morning fresh croissants and breads are delivered to the site, and you can book them the day before for breakfast. There is also a shop 2 minutes down the road, and it's a short drive from Bergerac town which was beautiful. The kids loved the water park, and the restaurant next door lets you down drinks (in plastic cups) to the pool area. I think the best part of it all was you are right in the middle of wine country.... you are driving through vineyards in every direction. It was the most amazing time. We'll definitely go back.

Great week at Pomport

Beautiful site. We had a lakeside pitch this time, which was absolutely fantastic.  Friendly staff, great amenities, very clean and tidy, feels really safe. So much to do for families and having the choice of either the lake/ beach or the pool is a novelty.

Second visit - doesn't disappoint

There really is no words this is a fantastic site that just keeps on getting better. All the staff are friendly and  professional. Management are always on site from early morning to late at night. This is our second visit and wow so many improvements have been made since we were last here.

 The new shower blocks are clean and very well thought out even the kids have their own shower block. The ski wire is fabulous and not expensive at all well worth a try. Bouncy castles are around for the kids and they are free.  The site is in the middle of vineyards and has visiting winery’s  selling their wine at least 2 Times a week. The on site restaurant is very good value for money and not expensive A good 20 minute walk get you to the village of Sigoules where there’s a small supermarket or 15 minutes by car and your in Bergerac at a hyper market. Pitches are all a good size some are huge lakeside pitches are all very good and again a good size.  You need to visit for yourself to see just how good this site is.  We will definitely visit again

Life’s a beach at Pomport Beach

A beautiful location. We booked a lakeside pitch that was of ample size, the site was winding down so facilities had started closing but due to the current situation it was not a hassle. The pool and lake are fab and other facilities such as ablutions where clean and tidy. I would of liked to have seen a more extended menu including some traditional French food. The staff where very helpful and knowledgeable.

Nice

We booked a lakeside tent pitch at Pomport direct through the website which was enough to navigate. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and went well and truly above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed far stay, from lending us wine glasses from behind the bar to giving us personalised excursion recommendations to suit our family. The weather was gorgeous and the pitch location was beautiful in front of the lake and generous in size, with ample sun and enough shade from the trees. The children aged 7 and 8 loved using the kids club which was on at different times throughout the day. They particularly enjoyed the free fishing lesson which was fantastic. The site is the perfect size for families so that the children can enjoy their independence and mix with other children whilst still being supervised. We really enjoyed exploring the area around Pomport and found that there was a night market on most evenings, and lots of vineyards and chateaus nearby. We would also recommend kayaking along the Dordogne which can be booked at a discount rate form the main reception.

Fantastic camping stay

Considering this is a fairly new Eurocamp the accommodation we had was very shabby. Door handles broken, bed strips coming apart, dirty saucepans. BBQ replaced to bog standard as previous occupant broke the last one. Smelt of cigarettes  All in all considering this is supposed to be luxury accommodation I was left extremely disappointed. Staff not really bothered, said to file a complaint but nothing will be done.  Won’t come back again which is a shame as we loved our first ever Eurocamp experience last year.

Avent accommodation

Our whole experience from booking to departure was fantastic. First, I'd managed to muddle my dates up and had booked a day out of sequence with the rest of our holiday plan. When we contacted the site, with less then two weeks to go, they were very accommodating and relaxed about the change of dates.

The campsite facilities were clean, the water warm, the showers hot, the bar friendly and the range of facilities for the children was exactly what we wanted. There are two simple flumes that keep the kids entertained yet are small and discrete enough to ensure it doesn't feel like a noisy water park. The best asset is the freshwater lake with a wooden platform you can use to jump in, and a sandy beach. 

The pitches cover a range of sizes and shapes. We went for a lake-side pitch as the price wasn't too different for the couple of nights we stayed. It was a huge pitch and swallowed up our tent, you could have parked two huge caravans on it and still had space for games. At night it was very quiet, there was no music or background noise. Everyone we met, french, Dutch or English seemed polite, friendly and happy.

A 10-15 minute walk up the hill gets you to a small village with a supermaket. Every Friday there is a food fete where you bring your own plates, cutlery and glasses and get served from the stalls of your choice. You sit on long benches, sharing your table with the locals. It's an amazing experience, the food excellent for all age groups and you only need basic French to get by. 

On our last day we only had 3 hours to travel before our next site, so we left after lunch. We packed our tent and then spent the next few hours enjoying the water. No one seemed to mind. It was a lovely experience and we can't wait to return to the lush, rolling landscape and this site in particular.
