After a few years, we returned to the heart of Bourgogne and stayed again 2 nights in this charming hotel in the village of Pontaubert. The owner is still most welcoming and a heated swimming pool is now available for the guests, which is most enjoyable after a day touring in the neighbourhood. We spent one day in the picturesque Vallée du Cousin and another one to visit the medieval city of Avallon and to admire again the gorgeous basilica of Vezelay. The Chant du Coq restaurant offers tasty local food with a hint of creativity and the choice of wines and liqueurs is impressive. This place is perfect for a long week-end break.
