We booked here for a night on our way to the south. Thanks to the reports on Tripadvisor which were all true. Nice and big room, very good bathroom, good breakfast, nice people and a wonderful view. The terras was a bit of a deception. No furniture to speak of, windy and the neighbours were doing repairs on the outside wall so noisy and a lot of gritty things in the air. Breakfast wa all right. Restaurant next door convenient with the same view. Private parking for guests only for small to medium sized cars. Wifi inadequate in the room.

B&B with a view

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Relais de Tamaroque, an attractive old coaching inn which is well placed for exploring the Languedoc coast and venturing inland. From the website, we chose the Vent Marin suite and were not disappointed - the rooms are spacious and attractive, with nice views over the river Berre and the old bridge. The two separate bedrooms make it ideal for a family stay. Wifi worked well in the room.

We never got time to use it, but the B&B also has a large games room down in the old stables with a huge TV to watch DVDs, plus table football etc and nice sunny terraces overlooking the river.

The Belgian couple who run the B&B (Jean-Luc and Brigitte) are helpful hosts. Communal breakfasts at the huge dining table were plentiful with an amazing array of Brigitte's home made jams. We tried as many as we could but there must have been 20 varieties in all including the unusual kaki (persimmon) and pineapple/date. We bought a few to take away which made great gifts, as did Jean-Luc's wines.

We ate one night in Narbonne as the local restaurants were closed  (L'Estagnol near Les Halles,  OK but not worth a special trip) and one night at Les Terrasses de la Berre a few doors down from the B&B, much better. 

Definitely one to return to - we loved the area and the room rates are very reasonable.

Everything a B&B should be

Wow!!!

With only 3 days there, we felt like it was a week. We have never been to the south of France before and was truly blown away. The guest house we chose could not have been any more beautiful. The view from our window was of a river that was so clear naturally stunning. Jean-Luc and Brigette, the guest house owners, were great fun and so welcoming, so much so that we almost felt we were visiting family. Breakfast was exceptional with, for example, 20 different types of jam and freshly squeezed orange juice. Although high up, you can walk down to the river. With the sun shining, I could not resist and jumped in for a splash! As weekend breaks go, this proved to be great fun and value for money. I have never previously commented on Tripadvisor, but felt compelled to do so in this case.

A really great find in our travels this summer. Fantastic old post-house converted into a welcoming B&B. Beautiful rooms, breakfast was delicious, view over the river was beautiful and our hosts were so friendly and English speaking as well. No complaints!

Absouloutly fantastic! Great location, hosts, rooms. We loved it!!

This was a great B&B run by a fun and efficient couple.  No concierge could have treated us better or steered us straighter in terms of dinner selections and outings.  Superb throughout!  You must have a rental car or bike for this one to work for you, but it was a very pleasant 5 days; thanks to Brigitte and Jean-Luc!  My companions say to add that the breakfast, lounge and hospitality were the best they've enjoyed at a B&B.
