We (parents + 1 teenagers) spent a week at Château de Préty in July 2020. We had an apartment (former horse stable). The chateau with property is very large. Of course it is old and its owner is doing incredible things to transform it. The horse stable has become a beautiful apartment. The pool was just right for these hot days. We also saw the fun (for the colder days) as well as the party room that is being renovated. Respect for all the work that the owner has put in there! The chateau is a commercial hotel, but a B&B with rural flair. We would very much like to go back to no Château Préty and spend a few days there.

Idyllic time on a beautiful estate

The place may be idyllic but it is not at all for several reasons: 1) Nothing is maintained: green spaces, green pool for the end of August, apartments with equipment are not up to the height (bed, towel that stinks, toilets more than doubtful, stays on the barbecue in the spa.....) 2) the very lunatic owner.

What a mess.

This hotel was our second choise in Tounus as all 4star hotels were fully booked.
No comparison to charming internet pictures and positive comments on Tripadvisor. This Chateau hotel should be urgently renovated or closed down.
Everything, park, interior and exterior completely worn out. Electrical installation not according to safety rules, shower not working properly, dirty carpet, etc.
Felt sorry for the kind old owner who did obviously not have the financial means nor professional support to run the place properly. 
No respect for the covid rules with not even the owner wearing a mask.
Due to many steps, especially 2'nd floor, not recommended for older and disabled people, this was not mentioned on the "Booking" site. Had a look in the kitchen which was enough not to take any meals.

Stop on way to south of France

Host Pierre (Holland) maintains an old piece of jewelry with a friendly peace of mind - apparently almost alone.Simple,purposeful,clean and with friendly service.Very voluntary,individual dwellings.Pool,small park with various hidden features.Ideal for a stopover,cluny.

Charm of the late 18th century

The manager spoke very badly to us several times he spoke very badly to his staff in front of us. Only the garden with the pool matches the pictures (hopefully it looks nice) the rest not at all.

bad experience

The pictures and videos on the net do not match the actual condition of the property. We found a rented, dirty, mold-smelling apartment that in the least respected the promised standard. A night here with two children was not possible for us for hygienic reasons. After a long drive we had to look for another accommodation disappointed. We emailed the landlord about our decision and reasons for moving, but the full calculation of the cost of the night was made immediately. We feel cheated nonetheless!

In the middle of the night

Very attentive and thoughtful staff, rustic and elegant furniture, children's equipment and games, good breakfast.

Charming place very well located

The charm of the old castles in a calm and quiet environment. The welcome is no longer friendly. The appetizer is on the terrace overlooking a nice park. It is also very pleasant: an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor sauna.

Deliciously authentic

The room we occupied was an unmatched furniture brack. Bathroom equipped with a low-end plastic shower cabin, broken faucet and unconnected to water. Bathroom in the bathtub (foot bath, stabilized by a wooden tub on one side and tiled on the other side. Very noisy, disturbing at night. At the time of booking we asked if we could charge our electric vehicle through an electric socket, no response. On site there is no effort and no limit to the solution to this problem.

Pretty Castle is a huge disappointment.

The small castle is embedded in a vast, picturesque parkland, where you can soak your soul! At the pool with the historic fountain figure you sit in the fragrance of roses and lavender. The view you enjoy from the couch to the castle terrace, where you will be greeted with a good glass of wine from the region on arrival, is probably unsurpassed! In the Château de Préty, the enjoyable person will be entertained, because the whole house, lovingly furnished by a gifted art expert, offers innumerable fine details on which you won't be satisfied. Each room can be individually furnished with antiques and charm, charm and style, and let the viewer be delighted with the authentic beauty of the place.
