The residence is a small building along Pringy’s main street. Some shops and a restaurant are close but Pringy has definitely nothing interesting. Tourists usually stay here to visit Annecy which can be reached with a 10 minute drive along a road where you can easily get lost. The residence has a small reception, a small common area (just a room at the entrance), a private parking with an automated gate which, unfortunately, I saw always open. We had a standard studio with a small kitchenette, everything clean but really basic (the shower didn't have a curtain or door to keep the water from splashing outside the tub) and nothing which can justify the choice to stay here instead of staying in a hotel in Annecy. Wifi worked quite well. This place could be convenient if you have a child otherwise I strongly recommend staying in Annecy.

It is better to stay in Annecy

Just to preface this review, I don't have anything positive to say about the hotel whatsoever, but the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, picturesque backdrop from the Alps - a short drive from both the Swiss and Italian borders, many great restaurants in the area.

Our room didn't resemble the pictures advertised. Extremely dirty, smell of dust and grime agitated our noses, poo stained toilets, sticky floors, greasy marks on all surfaces, left overs from previous occupants including clothes! Extremely stiff uncomfortable beds, dirty shower took 30 minutes to get lukewarm, free Wi-Fi constantly logged us off and had to reconnect with an annoying username/password (just authenticate a MAC address, seriously). Our beds weren't changed the entire stay, no fresh towels, had to get our own toilet paper, infact - no interaction of any kind, there was rarely any staff there at all.

One staff member who spoke bad English was seen twice, the other who seemed to float about for a couple of hours each day wouldn't even respond when spoken to in any language (not kidding). He flat out ignored whenever he was greeted and continued playing on the computer.

The place was all but empty during the entire stay, not surprising at all. Seriously, you cannot keep a hotel in that condition - it felt like we couldn't breath properly anywhere in there. I couldn't be paid to stay there again, avoid like the plague.

Can be better cleaned, ventilation can be better. Gotta enter wifi code everytime (annoying). staff do not speak English at all.

Nice stay, value for money

Wife and I stayed several nights in May. Roomy and very clean studio. Queen size comfortable bed that wasn't just 2 single beds put together. We slept very well. Kitchen equipment was well stocked and very useful. Bathroom was also roomy and clean, but strangely the shower had a big window right next to it (frosted but no shade or curtain to block the view completely). Also the shower didn't have a curtain or door, so we were puzzled as to how to keep the water from splashing outside the tub. Wifi was spotty (kept asking for login over and over again). Free parking in back (secured by an automated gate and keycard access). Very quiet in our room which was facing the back of the building. Convenient location for highway access, mini-mart and bakery in the same block, a huge Carrefour just down the street, 10 minute drive from Annecy center and lake area. We had a rental car and didn't have any trouble seeing the city sights, the lake towns, and beyond (Chamonix). The staff, Jean-Luc, was a nice guy and very helpful even with limited English communication. He worked hard to please (orientation, neighborhood info, laundry, etc). He was the highlight, but the place overall was very good.
