Very friendly staff everywhere; they seemed a happy team. Restaurant beautifully located and very good, particularly the breakfast buffet. Evening meals good; desserts and house wine from the island especially so. Lovely walks down to sea. 

A lovely 48-hour experience 

The location is prime: at the eastern end of the island, so difficult for non-residents to reach. The facilities are excellent - particularly the swimming-pool, the "crique" and two beaches.  But the best aspect was the staff:  they were all particularly friendly and helpful.  It seemed as if they made a real effort to engage with the guests.

Idyllic island off the southern coast of France, reached by ferry from Hyeres

The hotel is located on the lovely island of Porquerolles occupying a secluded position away from the village with close access to two (virtually) private beaches & with its own delightful swimming pool. The room we stayed in (462) was clean, well equipped & extremely comfortable.  All bookings include half board and the food was excellent.  Although the hotel was full there is no crowding and plenty of space. The special nature of the hotel is exemplified through the caring, professional, engaging and well motivated staff. Nothing is too much trouble & service is of the highest standard. Particular mention for Thomas, Anne, Anna, Jeremy & Manon in the restaurant, Carole & Alexi at reception & Cindy at the pool - but also others too many to mention. Overall a wonderful stay - albeit it does not come cheap !

Superb experience

Wow! This is a piece of heaven: beautiful setting, jovial atmosphere coupled with fantastic food and wine. There was a sense among guests that everyone knew they were lucky to be there. Particular praise goes to the restaurant staff who made every attempt to accommodate our requests  (merci Charlotte). 
Having read some of the more cynical reviews on here, we were a little nervous beforehand….we were hoping it would just the ticket for a much needed family break and so it proved.  If you’re one for endless facilities that you never actually use then maybe this isn’t the place for you - this is not a mega resort, and in our opinion all the better for it. Ignore the naysayers, we’ve yet to find a better place to unwind as a family.

A gem of a place

we reached this haven of calm, beauty and ...gastronomy. The food and wines were outstanding and, to our good surprise, the prices not ! What else can on e wish on the otherwise crammed Mediterranean shores than to find such a place and its charming staff ?  NB: We made this discovery in April 2019 but I bet this review is still valid.

After a great stroll through the island ....

We have just spent at Mas des langoustiers  a 3 days weekend after a memorable visit ....14  years ago. We were still under charm . Ideal place to escape to the big crowd visiting Porquerolles Island ( 9000 persons a day at summer peak). From the village/port it is a 50 minutes’ walk, a 30 minutes’ bicycle ride and 20 minutes with the hotel shuttle ( every four 9al to 7pm) . The hotel is located at a 5 minutes’ walk of two little beaches , the black sand ‘s one and the white sand ‘s one, both in the gorgeous “ Langoustiers Fort “, where you can practice basic seaside activities . You can also walk along several tracks in the preserved forest  to contemplate a fabulous Mediterranean seaside or do it on a bike. Except for tennis or swimming pool ( hotel is providing high level facilities for both ) you may have to go to the village to rent sport features as bike or kayaks. 
Facilities overall are of very good level and worth the 4 stars classify. They have tried to keep the flavor of the “ rustique “ hotel of the 30ies and this is well done. They stop the Michelin One star restaurant , and one La Pinède only. Foods ( a sea food orientation , but not only ) , innovative cuisine and a comprehensive wine list .
For foods and beverage they have a large professional caring team. A real pleasure to be hosted by them. Overall service orientation is great, from drivers to front desks: a kind of Swiss Family Hotel Atmosphere . A pleasure to have been there, increased by a lousy internet signal( not the hotel fault ) , which will make you even quieter!
Directly dealing with this hotel we could get for a weekend in the second week of August a half board price of € 540.- for one classic room for two. € 450-. a single room. 
To get there, the public boat starts from La Tour fondue Port in Hyères, from 7:30 to 7:30 in summer, average crossing 20mn, € 19,50 return. No way to bring you own car!
The only long stay car parking ( over 48 hours ) is in Hyères , “ Arromanches and it is free. Taxi boat are operating anytime from La Tour fondue or Hyères . We paid one way € 295.- for five. From Arromanches car park to Hyères Port, it is a 10mn walk. From La Tour fondue port to Arromanches car park , a 40 to 50mn public bus transport time depending on trafic . 
So, enjoy! 

A memorable place to stay in an unique Mediterranean environment 

We did a lavender trip through the Provence, but wanted to end our trip with some time at the Mediterranean sea. The Porquerolles were the perfect place for three days of relaxation. 

We rented bikes and had an amazing time discovering the island. Many nice beaches and great views. Also the hotel exterior is amazing and we had a wonderful time with sunset at the close cliffs. Furthermore the dinner is amazing with again wonderful views from the terrace. Also the pool plus bar is definitely to recommend.

We will definitely come back one day.

Wonderful experience

We stayed at the hotel with my husband and I definitely recommend it.
The hotel is beautiful with an awesome view. You can enjoy the beach ( 5 minutes walk), the swimming pool and the spa. The garden is absolutly wonderful. The place is very quiet. We enjoyed our diner the service was very good and the food delightful. Lots of choices for breakfast with a good atmosphere especially with the girls, Orely and Orely, fun and professional. (Be careful of the birds they are very agressive when they're hungry ) Good vibes in the bar with the barmaid, Ocean. 
We can not wait to come back.

Great place to relax

When I read about the opening of the Vila Carminiac and then found LMdL I knew I had found the perfect birthday surprise for my wife. From the Pelican Bateaux Taxi landing us on the beach below the hotel to the comfort of the room, the terrace, the beaches, the food it was all idyllic- almost a Caribbean experience. We will return next year.

Surprise birthday treat

We stayed on this fabulous island for 2 nights, and decided to hire bikes and enjoy the opportunity of riding to lunch. Armed with our map, we left the village centre in the direction that we were told, hoping to find a sign to say where to go to this Michelin recommended restaurant. We rode for km's and phoned numerous times, to get directions. Eventually we arrived. Beware there are no signs to this fabulous hotel.
We had the most amazing lunch on the Terrace and the service was superb. We were rewarded after a frustrating start.
