Stayed at this hotel recently. It is a small hotel, only 8 rooms, but is only minutes from the beach at Quend Plage, and near several restaurants; one is literally round the corner!
Continental breakfast is left in the room, so you can eat when when you want. There is also a fridge and a coffee maker.
We had a good size room with a large shower room. Our only complaint about the room is that the lighting is very poor - only 2 bedside lights and a table lamp. We were not in the room much to want to spend time reading, but it would have been difficult if we had wanted to.
Free wifi was available but could not connect to it as was not given the password.

Lovely quiet hotel

The whole building was locked up when we arrived. The bar and restaurant were closed. We had to hammer on the door, and were directed to the local estate agent. We had no other contact with anyone for the rest of our stay. The room was lovely, but this booking was really for a room only, with no other facilities that a hotel should offer. That made it expensive for what was offered 

Overnight stay 

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in order to visit the nearby ornithological park.  Be aware, the weather in this part of France can often be chilly and rainy in May. . . as it was for us.  During the "off season", Quend Plage is almost deserted and often the restaurants are not all open during different days of the week.

The Hotel Cheval Blanc is centrally located on the main street into town, but it was quiet for sleeping because our room faced away from the street.  The pluses for room #4 on the second floor were a relatively large, clean room with a large, comfortable bed, a tiny terrace, robes, a really tiny fridge and strong WIFI.

The minuses were having a closed reception desk and needing to find someone in the restaurant who directed us across the street to the real estate office.  At a minimum, this information should have been provided in advance.  

Although we specifically requested a shower instead of a bath, we were given a room with a big bath tub, but no way to take a shower.  Although there was a hand held shower head, there was no curtain or way of attaching the shower head to anything. . . useless for showering! 

In addition, there was no elevator and so if you have difficulty carrying baggage up stairs, request a room on the ground floor.  

Although the featured photograph of this hotel is of a lovely dining room, it is deceiving.  There is NO breakfast in the dining room, yet they have a perfectly good restaurant for dinner.  Your "in room" breakfast is comprised of plastic packaged, supermarket rolls, coffee pods, tea bags and spreads like jelly, butter and Nutella. . . along with small bottles of orange juice and a small bowl of canned fruit in the fridge. Yet  there is no table and chairs inside to use for eating the breakfast.  We had to move the terrace table inside.  Although there are many complaints in the reviews about the breakfast. . . the management has apparently decided that it is better to leave their restaurant empty in the morning.  Disappointing to say the least.

The view from our room was over the small parking area and the garage, so no reason to sit on the terrace.  

In general, for the price of 95 Euros per night. . . I think we would seek out a more accommodating place to stay if we are ever in this area again.
