We needed a large house to accommodate our extended family of 12 adults and 5 children and Le Phenix could not have been better. Tim and Ali were extraordinarily welcoming as well providing two delicious evening meals, including wine, for the adults at a very reasonable price. Our bed was very large and comfortable and the large outside space was complimented by a large pool which was very welcome in the amazingly hot conditions this August.
We all agreed that we would like to return if we can get everyone together again. As I cannot get the ratings to accept my scores I hope this is enough to show how highly we rate this property and its proprietors. Thanks a million Tim and Ali
Despite the ‘Hotel’ ratings below this is not really a hotel it is a family house/chambre d’hôte.

Ideal place for holiday with extended family

Ok .. yes the weather was dodgy for the week  though it finished beautifully.  We spent a week here 2 oldies (60s/70) 3 plus 3 30s and 7 between 2 and 8 .... Le Phenix has masses of space inside, lovely rooms and comfortable beds and excellent ensuites.  Huge indoor dining table as well as the same outside.  The kitchen is maybe a shade neat for a lot of people prepping at once though it has everything you could need gadget-wise (you get round that by leaving them to it! ).  Pool was in constant use and there was masses of space to wear out small people and table tennis for our wildly competitive offspring. Tim and Ally were perfect hosts (around but not in your face) and cooked us (adults) a wonderful last meal which was a real treat - Tim's own fresh mi-cuit Foie Gras was sensational!  Highly recommend and there is so much to go out to see in the area ....Albi, Toulouse, gardens,  the mediaeval bastide villages ... the list goes on

Many thanks for a wonderful stay - you couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We loved our 4 days at Le Phénix. Thank you for helping us with transport arrangements when the 2 seater car couldn't transport 3! Thanks for taking in the bridegroom at short notice! And also for your fabulous breakfasts, lovely swimming pool and especially for your easygoing nature. We truly did feel at home. With all good wishes and hoping to see you again, from Danny &Spencer, Onno, Jason & Neil, Stephen & Alf, Mark and Fred!

Fantastic and very welcoming

We were recently in France for a family wedding and stayed three nights with Tim and Ally. They made us feel like friends of the family in their lovely house. The rooms at La Phenix are very comfortable and it was great to have a little sitting room at our disposal as well as a small kitchen for making a cup of tea or whatever. Much more friendly and relaxed than a hotel. And Tim's home made bread, yogurt, and granola at breakfast in addition to croissants, fruit, etc. were delicious!

Relaxed, comfortable and friendly place

We stayed at Le Phenix for three nights as we were over near Rabastens for a Christening. We had an absolutely wonderful time; dinner on the first night cooked by Tim was just what we needed after a long day and flights - I would wholeheartedly recommend having a meal here at least one night of your stay. We slept wonderfully, it's so quiet here. Tim and Ally were so helpful during our stay, sorting taxis and giving us a lift on a couple of occasions - we really appreciated their kindness. Great stay and would come again.
