This place is HORRIBLE. Do not stay here - it really will taint your experience of beautiful Reims. I arrived and didn't end up staying as I felt so uncomfortable. Upon arrival, the glass entrance door was smashed in which should have indicated this place is unsavoury. I wasn't able to check in (there is no bell or phone) even though the communications had informed me this would be fine so I spent 40 minutes waiting outside. After calling off my own phone (think global roaming charges) 7 times I was let in by someone very helpful. the room was revolting - dirty and with no curtain. 

When I returned in the afternoon after exploring the beautiful region it took 9 attempts at turning the key to get in (the door is not fit properly) I was confronted by the romanian harvest pickers who were drunk and agro. At this point i left and booked at the Best Western across the road.

Don't make the same mistake that I did - it is really not worth it :(

Horrible - it will ruin your stay in Reims

Hotel adequate for overnight stay and brilliant location in city centre.  Friendly staff.  Ruined by the bass thump of the cafe next door and the noisy Friday-night crowd at the pavement tables until 2am.

Car parking tip - use the Erlon car park with an entrance only 100 metres from hotel.

Nice budget hotel ruined by noisy environs

This is an inexpensive place, clean and run by a sweet young couple in an old building right in the heart of old part of Reims. It's a short walk to cathedral and train station. The walls aren't sound proof but what do you expect from and old building. We walked a lot and found some very beautiful old buildings.

In the heart and old part of Reims

For 48 euros a night this hotel is very much a backpacker's place - last time I stayed somewhere like this was in Paris in the 70s! - but it was clean if shabby, and very centrally located. It's in a pedestrianised street, above a cafe so not easy to find (and of course nowhere to park or unload), and is an old fashioned hotel with LOTS of stairs. Reception is up one long flight, and the bedrooms are up at least one, two or three more flights. No lift. The rooms were tiny - especially the bathrooms - though the shower had plenty of hot water. The loo was almost underneath the basin it was so cramped! The front rooms were very noisy on a Saturday night, being above the street, and one had the flashing "Hotel" sign right outside the window (it felt like we'd landed in a Micky Spillane novel). We didn't have breakfast as there was nobody there on Sunday morning (we were told to post our keys in a box!) but there's a nice cafe downstairs. Given the price, our only real complaint was that one room absolutely stank of old smoke so we had to have the window open to get rid of the smell which of course meant hearing all the Saturday night partygoers and a very loud rockband in the street below.

You get what you pay for!

Fantastic location...walk from the train station. right on the pedestrian mall with tons of cafes, stores, fountains, etc. Small , old hotel, no elevator,  but don't stay here if you want the Ritz. Good value, but really it's best virtue is location and price. Nice, helpful staff. Don't look for any frills, there are none.
