If the rooms in La Petite Boynarde were larger it would almost certainly score a perfect TripAdvisor 10. The hosts are delightfully friendly and helpful. The location is central for a day trip to the Gorge du Tarn or the hillside, scenic village of Peyre and its spectacular view of the viaduct at Millau, and the road to the impressive ruins of the Chateau de Peyrelade virtually starts in the back garden. The house has a large external patio overlooking a small creek and stone bridge, an ideal location for a glass or two of wine at the end of the day.

The dining room is very impressive with its enormous fireplace, even more so when the breakfast fare is laid out. The hosts go to a lot of effort with the breakfast, providing homemade cakes and jams. Anita also made some special gluten free pancakes for my wife. One of the best continental breakfasts we have had during our 4 week stay in France.

The perfect score miss is almost certainly a result of the small rooms, hence the Petite in its name. Ours had a separate toilet and bathroom and a small balcony, with a table and two chairs, which increased its spaciousness. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The tariff was very good value so RECOMMENDED if you are not allergic to a small room for a night or two.

The hosts have put a lot of effort into the communal areas for the guests, the dining room and riverside patio, and into their continental breakfast but probably need to slightly upgrade the facilities in the rooms. They do not provide toiletries except for hand wash, or tissues and the towels are a bit small and thin. Tea/coffee making facilities are not available in the room, possibly due to space or power point issues, but they are available in the dining room. The 5.00 pm check-in is also a bit late for the travelling tourist. Minor negatives in many respects but they do create negative perceptions in a guest’s mind and are easily rectified. Still RECOMMENDED.

Small but cute in a great location at a reasonable price

Two couples stayed for two nights in this lovely little chambre d'hote, the epitome of country French hospitality. Anita, Pascal and their little chien, Flore, welcomed us as if we were family.  Although they only speak French, there is no language barrier here as their efforts to please are felt. They go way beyond the norm for good hospitality. For example, one member of our party was ill and stayed in bed all day. Anita checked on her, bringing fruit to her room at lunchtime. We requested dinner which we shared with  Dutch and French couples. We have been in France for a month, and this is the best meal that we have had.  This was a farm-to-table 4 course dinner: lettuce and tomatoes from their garden accompanying an egg/cheese/spinach "frittata", poulet from the local farm which was served with roquefort and mushroom sauce, local blue cheese, panna cotta with prune rouge coulis, wine from the village...all for 24.5 euros! Anita and Pascal paused from kitchen duties to share drinks (on the house) with our group, another gracious gesture. Breakfast, included in the pas cher nightly rate of 75 euros, was equally pleasing with homemade pastries, confitures and yogurt topped with prune rouge.

Chambres are spacious with simple, pleasing decor. We two couples had Chambres Rose & Vert, which formed a common space separate from other rooms. Rose is en suite and has a window overlooking the babbling brook. Vert has the advantage of a mountain view. Guests have access to a terrace beside the stream, a perfect setting to punctuate a day of Gorges adventures with wine.

When in the Gorges du Tarn area, La Petite Boynarde is the "go to" lodging option.

Charming propprietors in serene setting

Cozy B&B with an excellent breakfast, and a nice terrace in beautiful surroundings. The hosts don't really speak English, which make a meaningful conversation impossible but we really didn't care for that so that's ok. Their petite dog, though, was quite a personality - he looks a bit like a miniature mixture between a wookie and an ewok, so we named it Mini-Chewbacca.

Really nice place, a bit off the beaten track. We didn't get a chance to stay for dinner, but it's supposed to be really good. We stayed for two days, and when we left our hosts packed some cake for on the road. Supernice!

We had a room with the toilet and bathroom in the hallway, but that was not a problem for us.

Très sympa

Very small town , extremely quiet in late April. We had driven through the larger town of Milleu before arriving in Boyne. It seemed some people had no idea where it was located. We phoned the B&B for directions but we were unable to undersatnd due to our inability to speak adequate French. Nothing in the town was really open when we arrived,but the B&B had signs which clearly marked there spot. ample parking next to facility. Owners spoke only French, but were extremely accommodating. We all tried very hard to understand each other. Room large,clean, and very nicely decorated, with TV, extra chairs, and patio overlooking " babbling brook" and countryside. Large bathroom with exquisite shower, multi sprays, at varying levels for massage. double bed, a little sunken, but comfortable. Owners directed us to another nearby town for dinner. It was hard to find so owner actually had us follow him there and made sure we were parked and settled before leaving. The atmosphere, and food were outstanding, and moderate priced. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with muffins, bread and coffee.
The price of the room was extremely reasonable for the accommodations provided.

Country French with babbling brook

We really weren't expecting much from this place but what a pleasant surprise. Anita and Pascal made our 2 night stay in the beautiful 'Gorges du Tarn' region a memorable one. We had a cosy but comfortable room, lovely fresh breakfasts and ended up having dinner there both nights. These dinners were great fun and despite the mixture of German,French, Flemish and Australian guests we somehow managed to communicate and enjoy each other's company.
We wished we could have stayed longer in this magnificent region
