We chose this place as a stop-over going to the Alps for a weeks ski vacation. Because of late planning there was not much left we could afford on the route to our destination. The evening before our departure I sent an email to ask for a room but I had no time to await the response. 
The place seems to be very rural although it is only two Km from the toll road to Chambery. It is an old Blacksmith house, rebuild in an Auberge. Close by people come to catch trout in the small brook that is running along this place. 
We stayed in a nice family room. We were offerd to have the 3 course evening dinner. which was quite good. The breakfast was also fine.
It is very convenient that the owners speaks English quite well. They are friendly and hospitable. 
An uncomplicated relaxing place to stay for a stop over or even for longer.

Friendly surreal place, very relaxing after a long days drive, close by toll-road to the alps

This Auberge is located near the autoroute into Chambery but is in a very quiet location.
Our room was large, comfortable and well equipped. We ate at the Auberge and had a very nice meal and the next morning enjoyed a very hearty breakfast. It was very quiet there at this time of year and we could therefore spend some time talking to the owners who are very charming. A very nice traditional country Auberge.

Very traditional and quiet

Only 5 rooms in this lovely restored old farm. Current occupiers are a couple who are very welcoming and friendly, and their menage of donkeys (two then three the next day as baby arrived) chickens, cats and frogs ( not seen but heard).

Warm welcome, very comfortable room with excellent bathroom and unusually effective mosquito protection. 

We booked dinner ahead and everything we were offered was excellent: prawn and tomato stack, chicken with reblochon cheese sauce, carrot flan and saute potatoes. Pudding was a raspberry, peach, ice cream and biscuit confection.

There was a good wine list and we very much enjoyed our meal sitting outside in the garden listening to the peace and quiet.

Breakfast was also outside with very tasty cheese and ham, mini-crepes and the usual range of breads and buns, juice, tea,coffee and jams. Yoghurt was also offered.

All the food was prepared by the Monsieur and served by Madame.

Donkey heaven

This is the place for those seeking to be a little away from it all. We had a bit of difficulty finding it ( even with a new satnav). The initial impression was that the lady was a bit "cool" but she was more friendly by the time we sat down for supper. The room was good value but supper was we thought rather expensive for what it was, but the food was enjoyable. Our bedroom appeared to have an updated bathroom but was rather dark and "serious". It was a convenient stop for our journey but we do not think we would return.
