We thought that Liane and Paul were fabulous hosts. They were friendly and informative and very helpful. The house was superb. All facilities excellent and way more than we expected. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay. Cannot fault this place in any way. The breakfast was excellent, Fresh Croissants,Pains au chocolate, Bread, Pains au rasins Home-made Jams,Yogurts, Cereales,Orange juice and a large selection of different Coffees & Teas fresh, tasty and abundant. My husband and I stayed here for 1 night last week in  the month of March2017.  the location is fabulous a little bit rural but still less than 10 minutes from the town where there are plenty of restaurants and amenities including a super Restaurant that Liane suggested called 'Le Réjallant'.Fabulous food & service. Their house is decorated beautifully they also have a Great wood-burning poele which gives out a comfortable heat. The bed was So comfortable, we slept like logs. This 'B&B is the best and in a great location, Liane & Paul were Excellent Hosts which made our stay much more enjoyable" Charente B&B " Bravo ! I just wished that we could have stayed longer !

Just  loved stopping over here. The welcome was warm, the shared living space was nicely organised and comfortable.  We were offered refreshment just as soon as we arrived, and were given tons of helpful information about the locality. The family bedroom was spacious, tidy, and clean.  We would certainly go there again.

Comfortable, friendly, clean, delightful

My wife and I stayed here for a week in April 2016.  Firstly, the location is beautiful very scenic and rural but less than 5 minutes from town where there are ample restaurants and conveniences.  The house itself is classically French, an elegant stone house large and airy, set on beautiful gardens with use of a swimming pool and scenic walks.  There is also a lovely wood burning stove which makes the place feel so cosy and comfortable.  Breakfast in the morning is European fare, gorgeous pastries, homemade jams with orange juice and every type of tea and coffee. The place is beautiful, the location is great for a holiday destination or people in transit, but the thing that really sets this place apart are the people, Leanne and Paul.  We cannot speak highly enough of them, they were the most welcoming hosts and made our stay so pleasurable. As others have stated they really do go out of their way to make sure you have all the things you need for a  enjoyable stay. I think anybody setting up a hospitality business should stay in Charente B&B to see how it is done properly!  I cant imagine who this wouldn't suit, young families, grown families, couples, solo travellers there is something for everybody but we are a couple in our 60s and will definitely be returning.

Beautiful location, wonderful people!

We really enjoyed our stay and were met with a very warm welcome. We enjoyed the activities in the area including the swimming lakes. The pool was excellent for a refreshing break in the hot weather. Our son loved playing with all the toys and trampoline. Nice and quiet break.

Tranquil and relaxing stay

We were are met with a warm welcome to this clean and fresh rural retreat. The bright and airy rooms were homely and comfortable. The large garden was the ideal place for our two children to play and explore. We ate every meal 'al fresco' with views across neighbouring fields willing deer to show themselves from woodland, they did oblige once or twice! Although rural it is situated within a stone's throw from the N10 autoroute, making it easy to find. The thriving town of Ruffec is just a few minutes drive, with it's covered market, shops and cafés. We also went canoeing from here, which was an inexpensive, fun way to spend a few hours messing about on the River Charente
