Wow, after two days of travel and a first overnight stay in a fairly standard hotel, I arrived here in paradise. Nice welcome, everything so neat, the peace, the surroundings, the room. Everything is completely finished. Highly recommended! Too bad I'm just passing through. I'm sure I will come here again

Couple touring The Loire on a Romantic break

Beautiful unique property. Once in a lifetime opportunity to stay somewhere like this. Canoeing in the river, and going to sleep with the sound of the water.
Welcoming hosts. Honesty bar, fantastic breakfast and if you book in advance they will provide you a charcuterie platter for dinner

Unique experience

This a beautifully located water mill, well furnished, with superb views and very nice rooms giving a sense of luxury. The hosts add to the experience with their friendly and engaging style. Would love to visit again for a longer stay

Beautiful, Serene and Comfortable

We stayed for one night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary in the “Roulote” which is located in a quiet and beautiful field near the old mill and the river. It was exceptionally cleaned, peaceful and the welcome we received was amazing. 

The owners are extremely careful with regard to the COVID-19 situation and extra precautions were taken to ensure the safety of all.

All in all, we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend it. Thank you to our host for making our anniversary very special.

Exceptional

Just returned from a wonderful time at this amazing Water Mill. Made to feel welcome by Fabrice & Francois. Nothing too much trouble. Nothing else to say that hasn't been said already ! Thoroughly recommend

Amazing

Just arrived home from a 3 night stay at this wonderful place. Our hosts Fabrice and Francois offer a very warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. Fabrice is a font of knowledge with regard to the Loire Valley and his suggestions for both local restaurants and places to visit was better than any travel guide! 
The setting is idyllic and charming, rooms and communal areas tastefully decorated with lots of space outside to relax. A typical French breakfast of high quality and a comfy bed for the end of a busy day all goes to make for a perfect stay which we do not hesitate to recommend. 

Simply wonderful!

As soon as I walked in the mill, I knew Fabrice’s former career was an Interior designer, it’s just simply exquisite. As soon as we met Fabrice we felt straight at home, he’s the perfect host. My husband wants to come back next year, so that’s a good a recommendation. I loved the honesty bar with all the best local wines and champagne, we enjoyed a bottle on the terrace every night before heading out for dinner . We stayed 3 nights but it wasn’t long enough so next time il book longer. It’s on our top five I’d say of best places we have stayed and also felt so relaxed. So much wild life to see in this area, the countryside around the mill is just beautiful. 

Off the scale stunning 

Well what can we say to compliment what has already been said by other guests that have stayed at the Moulin de la Chevrier after reading the reviews of other guests, surley nothing is that good. If you dont believe it go see for yourself, both the Mill and Fabrice's attention to detail in this beautiful setting what a find c'est fantastique. 

Fantastique

We stayed here for one night in mid September. Good communication with Fabrice (host) prior to stay and warm welcome by his Father (Francois). Property is located in the middle of a scenic riverside setting and is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Room is of very good size and well equipped . Common areas are well furnished and plenty of spaces to sit out and enjoy the setting in the gardens beside the river.

I left a jacket behind and Fabrice very kindly arranged to post it me .
