My wife and I stayed at La Sorellerie while returning  north by car from Bordeaux to CDG Airport.  We had hoped to resurrect a balloon flight over the Loire that had been cancelled due to weather on our southbound leg, but it was not to be.  Winds, you know?   A major consolation was this excellent B&B.  

The room was comfortable, spacious and spotless,  The bed was very comfortable.  Parking was ample and secure.  The bathroom was large and beautiful.  The common spaces were elegant, and we were made very much at home.  The neighborhood was quiet, with only the occasional sounds of children playing in the distance.  Veronique's  breakfast, much of it homemade, was superb.  The cat was quite agreeable.  

We used the time freed from our twice-aborted balloon flight to make the quick drive into Tours and spend a few hours strolling the boulevards.  (Basilique Saint Martin and Charlemagne's Tower are spectacular sights.)   There's more to Tours than the Chateaux!  

We sincerely regretted that our flight would depart Paris the following day.  A longer stay would have been delightful.  There are lower priced B&Bs, of course, but we found La Sorellerie to be most fairly priced given the levels of quality and service.   It's highly recommended; we would return in a heartbeat.

A Luxurious B&B, Convenient to Tours and the Loire Valley

Calm and beautiful presented superb host. Lovely gardens and a great breeze. Perfect for out overnight stay. 
Situated just outside the main town this offered a relaxing evening comfy bed and a hot shower. All very much needed after a long drive.

Perfect overnighter

La Sorellerie is a perfect place to stay. Just south of Tour its well situated to visit chateaux and gardens but most importantly you get a grand welcome from host Veronique and her husbandJean Michel. Their english is impeccable and their hosting skills are on a par. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. It was great to have access to a small but well equipped kitchen for teas/coffees etc.Breakfasts were delicious but do not t hesitate to book an evening meal - superb. Locally sourced  ingredients cooked to perefction by Veronique. My sister and I ' will be back',

Nowhere better to stay

We opted for the room with the large balcony, I'm typing this while sat out on it, chilling in the cooler night time air. The room is lovely, with electric, adjustable beds.

The house and grounds are a lovely place to spend some time and the village is lovely with plenty of places to eat and drink.


Wonderful B&B, lovely host

I booked this place almost by accident as I just wanted a place to stay after we caught the train to st Pierre de camps from Paris and was collecting a car the next morning 
Well how surprised were we by this delightful place to stay in Tours.
The minute we were met by Veronique and offered a glass of wine, booked us a pizza with free bottle of wine, which I could walk to collect and was delicious, we were enchanted.
Very convenient to all the chateaus, it has a delightful backyard for eating a delicious breakfast and dinner is also supplied if wanted .
Modern amenities and just a delightful location and residence.
When we return to the Loire we would definitely stay there a week with pleasure.
A real value pleasure..... enchante! 

Delightful surprise

We loved our time with Veronique and reminisce about our stay often. We looked forward to breakfast everyday as it was fresh, delicious and full of great conversation. She was very knowledgeable about French history and gave us many tips on places to see and how to reach them so we could experience the best view. She helped us with the pronunciation of French words that helped us for the remaining 3 weeks of our holiday. She had a vast amount of tourism brochures so we were able to plan our days without having to spend time finding tourism offices which was a great bonus.

Full french experience

The structure immersed in an oasis of greenery and tranquility, is located just a few minutes from Tours. The owner was very very kind and helpful. Cleaning was done every day. Fantastic breakfast!! Rooms very spacious, very clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated! Beds electronically adjustable! Absolutely recommended for a fantastic stay!!!

Absolutely Recommended!!

a wonderful stay. veronique is a superb host. her cooking is also lovely. many historical sights to visit and lovely countryside is what the loire valley is all about. If you want to walk to tours center it will take you about 45 minutes, otherwise bus number 10 is very easy and comfortable. there are a couple of good restaurants nearby. we had dinner twice at l'envigne and it was great. the city loches, 15 kilometers south of tours is a very interesting midievel town

great stay

We stayed one night but it was really lovely. From the moment we arrived...earlier than expected I must add...we were welcomed warmly and shown our wonderful spacious bedroom. The bathroom was just great and beautifully decorated. This room in their house is wheelchair friendly and very large. Next to our room is the cosy lounge with microwave and fridge...a rarity we are finding in France! Comfy sofa and lots to read. I felt very much at home. The whole home is decorated to a high standard. Our host was wonderful and even did our washing for us which was very sweet of her. Highly recommend to anyone staying near Tours. Myra from OZ
