The hotel was a bit tired and the rooms not very inviting. But the place was clean enough and fine for one night transit on a cycle trip across Europe.

The owner is a great guy, very welcoming. Staff were helpful and pleasant too. The restaurant was excellent and I definitely recommend it.

OK for one night

This was not a good place for me to stay. Noisy! There was fighter jets flying by all afternoon and late into the evening. You can hear everything from other guests using their bathrooms to every door opening. The electric switch for bathroom light was almost handing off. VERY BASIC rooms. No tea/coffee facilities in your room either. All that said the room/bathroom was clean. Bed and sheets freshly made and comfortable. This is a very LOW END Hotel and I am sure I could have done much better if I had looks a little more! 

DIRE! Never Again!

Used this as a stop over. Our satnav initially took us through a seedy-looking part of the town which improved as we found this hotel on the outskirts of Saint Dizier. The room was small and had no beverage making facilities. It was, along with the whole hotel, of dated appearance but it was cheap and we only needed to stay one night. Therefore, we coped and got on with it but will probably stay in a different town if we travel in this region again. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Fine for brief stay

Stayed here one night and was pleasantly surprised after having read some of the reviews on here. Yes the hotel is somewhat dated, but our room and the communal bar and dining room were all very clean and tidy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was superb. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would stay again for sure! 

A quaint little stopover

On our travels from Spain to the north of France, this was the most expensive hotel and sadly very disappointing. The room was very old and needed updating, with windows that only opened slightly resulting in a stuffy room and a bad night's sleep. The bathroom was new and clean. We opted for the breakfast option which was not good value. We were two of only four guests in the hotel and made to feel as though we were inconveniencing the one member of staff on duty, as she had to run the front desk and serve us. Only one cereal which was sugary and processed, the pastries were miniscule, the sort of thing you could buy a 6 pack of in an English supermarket for a pound! Definitely would not recommend.

Like going back in time, but not in a good way.

The hotel is very run down.
The carpet in my room was so stained I had to keep my shoes on.
The staff were very disinterested.
The restaurant was ok but expensive.
The hotel looked nothing like the pictures.
It's unfortunate, but I will not be returning.
