Room was nice with good breakfast. Staff was very nice!
The room with mountain view was actually a parkingspace view (there were a few mountains in the back).
I missed a wifi in the room and a little  fridge because there wasn't any cold tap water.
The hotel has a lot of parking spaces, it is near city center and grocery store.
I would recommend it.

Less than I expected 

The hotel is located very close to the city centre and has a lot of free parking places at the hotel area.

The rooms are somewhat ok. Really old but clean. We didn't have any meals so I can't tell how good it is.

W-Lan is free but only in the lobby.

We got a special offer from booking.com but I am really sure there might be better options in St. Florent for the same price.

Close to the city centre

Just got back from a lovely week spent at the Madame Mere Hotel .We were wary of this hotel based on the other reviews, but were delighted to find it was perfect for us. The staff were all really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were small but very clean, and we were given new towels everyday. The shower was really good and the beds comfortable. Be warned there are no fridges and only wifi in the lobby and terrace area. The breathtaking view of the sea and mountain skyline was the real highlight, the hotel being located in the ideal location. 5 minute walk into town. The pool was amazing; surprisingly big, really clean and pool area so sunny, ideal for a day of dossing around in the sun.
Overall we had an excellent stay and I would happily recommend to anyone!

So much better than we expected

Close to town center, large free parking , nice swimming pool, clean towels, staff friendly. 

Small room, no balcony or terrace, missing fridge in the room, no wifi in the room.
Breakfast is not included.

Great location

We stayed here for two nights in July 2015 and payed 45€ per night as an average.

The hotel has a large parking area which was good for us since we had just arrived by the ferry to Bastia. Staff was friendly upon arrival and we were given a double room facing the mountains.

Room was an average double room in terms of size and the air conditioning was working well. The wi-fi, on the other hand, was not. We did not get a signal in our room.

Beds, bathroom and the rest of the room was like the average hotel room. Nothing fancy, nothing broken. It is not a trendy hotel, its a bit worn out, but everything is clean and fresh.

The hotel has a pool but we never used it because it was right outside of the hotel where a lot of people were passing and sitting down for a drink or food (both during the day and the evening).

We used this hotel as a starting point for driving around Cap Corse, and it suited us well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap stay in Saint Florent.

We liked it

A quiet and pleasant terrace, nicely prepared food and welcoming restaurant staff are the only redeeming features of this sad, decaying place.  Money is saved everywhere apart from the guest's bills.  Air conditioning either not working or freezing, suspicious carpets, unfriendly desk staff, one does not even feel welcome
