We spent a pleasant week here.  The best part of this place is its slopeside, you can almost ski to the door.  The receptionist was pleasant and friendly.  The apartment was plenty adequate.  And actually very clean.  Obviously if you are expecting 5 star, this isnt it.  But it does have everything you would need for a budget studio/apartment.  Little kitchenette with all the necessary to eat in every night, coffee maker etc.  Plenty of hot water and heat.  Its a typical French ski apartment.  We were very fortunate to be given an apartment that sleeps 6, for only 3 of us, so had heaps of space, might be a bit cramped though if there were 6.  I would recommend it.  Bring tea-towels, and basic needs, such as  your own bath towels etc.  If you dont want to clean before you leave, there is an extra charge.  Extra charge for wifi too, and TV.  So very budget place, but you came to ski and not be stuck inside.  The village itself is extremely expensive, so if you are driving, load up on supplies. I would recommend it.  And the ski resort too was pretty good, we felt we were ski in our own private resort with barely anyone here.

Dont believe all the reviews

After booking this trip with sunweb I read the reviews. These made me a little nervous.
We drove from the uk for a short break through the night on Jan the 3rd. On arrival at 7 am we parked outside and found breakfast in a little bakery next to the apartment. Very friendly and very nice.
Around 9 we meet the sun web rep in the bar below the apartments and she was helpful in telling us about the resort.
We checked in about 2 pm and yes we paid our €300 deposit which I was nervous about. We did ask for an inventory form when we checked in. 
We went into the apartment and I was surprisingly impressed the apartment was clean tidy and no damage. We went through the inventory as we had read previous reviews. We found a chair slightly loose on a leg and a spoon missing lol. We did take pictures and we took the list back to reception and said this is our inventory and showed a picture on the phone of the chair. We asked them to sign the inventory and they did.
I had my credit card deposit unblocked a week after we returned. With no issues.

I have to say as a apartment I was very satisfied and I would stay again two people for four nights for £300 was very very cheap for door step skiing. You can walk up the ski slope to 1650 which has a couple of very nice restaurants. 

I would recommend this resort and apartment for families , couples and groups. I will definitely return here again.

Don’t believe all you have read

WORST PLACE EVER, DO NOT GO! IT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!

Stayed here for 3 nights. It should it gets closed down. There was a FIRE in one of the rooms and one floor was completely FILLED WITH SMOKE, NO ALARM WENT OFF. No staff came to assist. They did not even admit it.

Condition: 0/5. extremely poor condition. Everything was dirty; the floor, the bathroom, the kitchen, the mattresses. Almost everything that could be broken, was broken; holes in walls and cabinets, beds(frames), chairs, shower, toilet seat, dishwasher, tv, curtain, lights. The appliances (dishwasher, coffeemaker) in our room - was all broken!

Pricing and service: They charge a high deposit price. And they select an arbitrary amount that they want to keep. We took note of everything that was broken, filmed and took pictures. At the day of leaving they blamed us for things that were already broken and disregarded any evidence otherwise. E.g. They stated there were 6 chairs, when there were only 4 and blamed us for loosing two. They knew exactly what was broken before hand and  CHARGE YOU FOR IT! Read all the negative reviews, may many people have had a similar experience.

On our final night, one of the rooms on our floor had a large fire, and the whole floor was filled with smoke, you couldn't find the exacts if you had. And not a single fire alarm went off! We informed the staff, they disregarded this completely.

Do yourselves a favor and never visit this horrible, unfair, dangerous place.

FIRE AND HEALTH DANGER- DO NOT GO!

We had an apartment for 6 with 4 of us in it, basic but well equipped, clean on arrival, a couple of minor maintenance issues but all noted on the inventory, I cleaned the apartment so no deductions from our 300 Euro deposit. Well situated, next to the slopes, no complaints at all from us, you do get what you pay for but perfect for us. It would be tight for 6 but manageable.

Good Value

The condition of the appartments is extremely poor. Considering the price, I wasn't too surprised. But, as a deposit, 600 euros had to be paid per room. At the end of the week we only saw a small amount of this back. In one of the rooms of our group the radiator was already missing when we arrived, but they still had to pay for it. Also, when we arrived, there weren't enough blankets in all the rooms. Nobody could really help us so it took us a few hours to get the blankets. Together with another group, we had to pay 600 euros because we hadn't cleaned the halls and stairs and a radiator in the hall was broken. This is a public space and we didn't break it, but of course this can't be proved. When we asked the manager for an explanation of the whole situation she wasn't open at all to talk with us. Also, she told the other employees not to discuss it with us. As a conclusion I can only say that this is the worst apartment I've ever stayed in and the service is very poor. The price is low, but you can assume not the whole deposit will be given back although there isn't a good reason for it. 

Worst place ever and unfair judgement of broken properties and cleaning

For a miniski with two friends, we went to saint François longchamp with Dutch tour operator Bizztravel. We had tot give a creditcard number for the deposit, even tough all was already paid for.  Since they deal with a lot of groups and (very) young people, i think they had there reasons.
The apartment is of the old French standard, so always overbook by two persons! The apartment was mostly clean but not thoroughly cleaned. Because the complex is big, and in use with tour operators for short breaks, people are leaving and arriving every day, which brings the usual noise.
There is not much to say, it's basic and if you have bad luck your neighbors are sixteen and making a lot of noise. We were lucky and had a pretty decent stay, but defiantly not above average.

You get what you pay for

We booked this accommodation last year for our skiing trip for a group of 26 friends. The resort of St Francois provides excellent skiing, the resort is ideally suited to beginners and intermediates, we were quite worried before going as most of the reports we had read said that the numbers of runs were limited and that experienced skiers would quickly become bored. This was not the case at all!! everyone of our group thoroughly enjoyed the skiing. The accomodation however was another matter. On arrival the receptionist was exceptionally keen to obtain credit card details off us even though the rooms had been prepaid in full. We were given a sheet and pillow each and pointed in the general direction of our rooms. When were got to our rooms everyone was less than impressed! To say they were bog standard would be the understatement of the century. The floors were filthy, and some of the rooms were mouldy. All of the rooms were tiny, nowhere near big enough for 6 people. 

The resort itself was very good and had all the amenities you would want. for a small place. There were some very nice restaurants to eat during the evening although the nightlife it has to be said was quiet if you were in a large group you could find some nice pubs and bars where you can make your own entertainment. There is a nightclub in the centre but we only went the once as it was vastly overpriced (10 euro's a drink!!)

On leaving the resort we were picked up from the hotel at 6 in the morning. We were asked to clean and tidy the rooms and put all the dirty sheets onto the beds. We followed these instructions to the letter! all rubish was thrown away everything was washed up and all the rooms had been swept, the were certainly better than we found them anyway!! We dropped the keys in a box at reception. On arriving home we found that the hotel had taken 260 euro's off our credit cards without even contacting us! When we called them to complain they said that the rooms were not up to their required standards! Be warned if you book the residence le hameau make sure you block any unauthorised attemps to take money from your credit cards after you have left!! I definitely would not recommend the accommodation!! but the resort itself was great and would love to go back there again one day, just not to the residence le hameau!!!
