My partner and I spent a little week at La Borie Chic with our 14-month-old daughter. The owner, Andrew, welcomed us with kindness and was a very good advice for family outings. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. The room has various welcome services (free) like a refrigerator, a coffee shop, a kettle + tea, a barbecue. The pool set up was very much appreciated by the small family. We plan to return there next year.

A quiet guest room in a very nice property

Andrew's warm and complete home. We are actually in a new two-bedroom building: independence and quiet guaranteed. The room is spacious, the little ones are on your appointment (television, wifi, refrigerator, cafeteria...), the sdb is correct. Good bedding, electric heating if necessary....comfort is on your appointment. Just a note on the pdj which is correct without more....no salt for example, which does not allow to put 5. Otherwise everything is great.

It's quiet and well located.

We are on a 6 day self managed walking tour in the Dordogne area and this was one of our overnight stops. Just out of Meyrals, so peaceful and welcoming. Our host Andrew was so friendly and helpful. We dangled our hot feet in the pool, accepted a welcome beer. Relaxed on the outdoor recliners, played table tennis, ate our self supplied dinner and wine on our terrace, followed by coffee from an excellent coffee machine, and slept wonderfully. A generous continental breakfast was brought to our room in the morning. This has been one of our top accommodation experiences in France. Just one very minor fault - the bathroom has absolutely no sound barriers from the bed/living area so when daily constitutionals were in motion, so to speak, other occupants found it necessary to take themselves outdoors.

Wonderful oasis in Dordogne countryside.

Andrew and Melanie, who own La Borie Chic, were the most helpful, kind and obliging people. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they looked after us so well. The gite was well appointed, everything is as you see on the website; breakfast was plentiful and always served on time, and there is a BBQ area if you want to cater for yourselves. La Borie Chic is just a few kilometers from all the places we wanted to visit, but is really peaceful and quiet. The swimming pool area is beautifully clean, as are the gites. It was a joy to stay somewhere that lives up to expectations.

Very friendly accommodation, this stay in the Périgord is conducive to rest. Very clean and comfortable guest room, it is ideally located to enjoy the tourist points.

Super surprise weekend for my Mother's Day with my daughter; calm and relaxed with a welcoming you can't be more friendly and warm!! Ideal, in love or family because everything is there!!

Great setting, very quiet, very friendly reception. Large and very narrow room. Large services available (frigerator, cafeteria, bakery + tea, barbecue). Pool, ping pong, trampoline are offered on site.

Wow this place certainly does have The X-Factor!  Joking aside this place really does have it all with plenty to keep you entertained when your not out & about sight seeing around this glorious part of France 'The Dordogne'. With a Swimming pool, trampoline & table tennis on sight.  The accommodation which is separate from owners house is finished to a high standard, it has a good size bathroom, tea coffee making facilities & a fridge, with parking bays in front of the accommodation. But a big bonus was your own patio area, which was very welcome after a day out to sit & soak in the amazing views surrounding  La Borie Chic.  Breakfast was good with a good variety of food brought over to your room by hosts. We found hosts Melanie & Andrew (also original from Wales) very friendly & helpful throughout our five day stay & I would not hesitate to recommend La Borie Chic as a memorable place to stay you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful holiday to remember, we will certainly be back.

Wow!

We stayed during May and felt really welcome by our hosts. Beautiful setting and perfect location for sight seeing. Spacious and spotless rooms liked the coffee machine and fridge in room. Weather was mixed but we made good use of the large private pool and liked the fact we had our own patio area to relax on. Breakfast was ample and brought to our room each morning at our convenience.

Will definitely return and recommend to friends. Big thank you to Andrew & Mel.

A Home from Home

If you want the French experience do not go to La Borie Chic.  The bedroom and bathroom are very basic especially the beds.  Our breakfast was delivered to outside our room and consisted of cold floppy croissants some toasted brioche and a carton of processed mixed fruit in syrup that you buy prepacked from the supermarket.
