We didn't sleep at the hotel but just dined at the restaurant. What immediately struck us was the setting of the room! We find ourselves at least 50 years behind: chambered shelves, chimneys with grandmother's trinkets, damassed sheets but made of polyester, in short, the decoration of the Logis de France d'antan!

A good kitchen in an old-fashioned setting

The Auvergne Relais is an excellent hostel located in the centre of the village of Saint-Gervais. It is an old diligences relay with a classic, very well-maintained décor. The rooms are pleasant with solid wood furniture, a comfortable bed, sanitary facilities in good condition. The bathroom and the toilets are completely separate. The room is equipped with a TV connected to a box with a wide selection of programs. WiFi is available very simply at night and free. The owners welcomed us very well and were attentive to our small needs as for all the other guests. The table is generous and gorgeous while respecting the tradition of the athlete for a close outcome. A tasty wine was served to us at the breakfast table with a wide variety of dishes. After a pleasant breakfast, we were offered in a nice dining room, where we were able to enjoy a pleasant meal.

A nice place for a step or more

All right, very well done and clean. We had booked by phone out of the car. Understanding English was a bit difficult, but they wanted to help us out. Arriving late at night was no problem. Nice room and a classic breakfast. Perfect.

Spontaneously booked - no problem

It's a very nice and clean little hotel. It's a very nice terrace behind the hotel or the boss, his wife, daughter and boyfriend provide lunch and dinner service. Local food and very good. Service and smiling and even dogs are welcome. The rooms are clean and the hotel has a certain charm of the time but with a modern bathroom and windows that insulate well. The wifi works very well everywhere in the hotel and parking in front of the door. I would come back if I was in the area.

Perfect hotel and restaurant and a very friendly reception

When you use the bathroom sink, the sinks are pulled up by the siphon of the shower. Very low-end toilet paper Nearly 90€ a night is expensive paid

We spent two nights at the Auvergne relay and it was unforgettable. The reception was very warm. The owners were very friendly and their daughter was adorable. The room is comfortable, clean and quiet. The meals served in a spacious and personalized, pleasant dining room are excellent, even refined. The rich breakfast C was delicious. A night at the hotel

We spent two nights with a box and we are very happy with our stay. The bosses, who are kind and very pleasant, the dinners are delicious with fresh produce. The room is cozy and the bedding to our liking. Thank you for your hospitality.

When we go to the hotel we like the welcome and the service of having someone if we need them: to have ice cream, the menu card of the restaurant, to put the icebreads in the freezer, to inform us about the visits to be made, to order breakfast, to help us open the door to the reception that closes with a code etc... And for that, don't count too much on the owner who smokes more often at the bar entrance than to be at your service! She didn't tell us anything at the entrance except to give us the key and the ticket for the wifi and the door code.
