Located out of town in a lovely setting, access is along narrow, twisting roads. The B&B has been lavished with a great deal of care by welcoming hosts. Accommodation is in a very old building with plenty of quirks. Overall we had a very comfortable stay which was topped off by a pleasant breakfast. Recommended.

Lovely location

Positives -
The property and accommodation is beautiful.
The grounds (landscaping/gardens) beautifully manicured.
Lovely pool (didn’t use).
Hosts lovely (limited English, however we managed).
We stayed in the green double room.  Biggest bed we have ever slept in.
Nice and comfy too.
Big towels.
Authentic ancient building with original features.

Negative (only one) -
Breakfast was disappointing .  Small yoghurt, little bit of choppped pineapple, juice, bread (not very fresh) and jams.
We felt added fruit would have been nice or fresh bread from the bakery 3klms away.

Although we gave one negative comment, we would still return.

Beautiful location

At the end of a day of robust motorcycle riding over several Cols in the Pyrenees my two friends and I found ourselves at La Ferme de Jeanne. The farm house and surrounding property is beautiful, the rooms are, well shall I say quaint, but clean and comfortable. They have a nice swimming pool if you want to take a dip. The two people acting as hosts did not seem to have a lot of experience as B&B hosts, but were nevertheless very pleasant. There is no dinner available at the B&B, so a short trip into St. Girons is required. We selected L'Auberge d'Antan, which is excellent. Breakfast at the B&B is sparse.

A 200 year old farm house in a quiet setting

A fantastic B and B just outside St Girons with stunning views over the Pyrenees. This old farmhouse has been converted with great style and care by the owners. Our room (Chevrefeuille) was beautifully decorated and the bed was the most comfortable we slept in on our whole holiday. We enjoyed the outdoor pool with the best view. Friendly hosts made this a perfect place to stop and enjoy the best of French hospitality.

Don't miss this wonderful B and B

We slept one night in this B&B in October 2012. It was lovely experience of the authentic B&B in France. The building is old and very stylish. The rooms are spacious, and even a small TV was in our room. Our host greeted us as we arrived and helped us with the luggage upstairs. No elevator -:) . This is 200 years old house. The host checked everything and then left to sleep in his other house. We were the only guest in this huge B&B house. Silence in the night was amazing. Breakfast in the morning was great. Yannick, the host, told us the history of the house and how they renovated it for B&B. Sleeping there was really great. Such a different experience from regular hotel rooms. We used our GPS to find this B&B, but without this device it might be a challenge. The last few kilometers from the city of Saint-Girons to the B&B are through a narrow one-lane road going uphill. Be careful in the night. Also, be prepared to pay with cash: this is a small establishment. In summary, La Ferme de Jeanne is highly recommended B&B in Saint-Girons. If you like a great view of Pyrenees, and a beautiful garden in addition to a good night sleep, you should not be disappointed.

Such a good experience of B&B in France

Upon arriving, my partner and I were shown to our beautiful bedroom (Chèvrefeuille) with ensuite bathroom and a view of the rolling hills and tree-lined driveway to property. The decoration/finishings are of a high standard. The large bed was very comfy and bedding/sheets were of the best quality. Breakfast was served in the dining room next to the open fire and consisted of croissants, cakes, baguette, yoghurts, fruit, jams, fruit juice and a hot drink of your choice (tea, coffe, hot chocolate...). It is a 2 minute drive to Saint Girons. The local market on Saturday morning is a must with a huge selection of local cheeses, meats, breads etc... We thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were lovely and very helpful. We woke up on the morning we were leaving to snow, so the owner kindly drove the car up and out of the drive for us and gave us directions to a different route to get down the hill. One thing I would advise before going is checking the weather as our car was not equipped for driving down steep one lane country hills/mountains in the snow. We will definitely return for a longer stay next time as 2 days is not enough...
