When our original hotel booking for St Girons let us down, Parc de Palétés picked us up! A simple twin room with comfy beds and stunning views across the valley and a bathroom that doubled as a drying room - very welcome after a wet ride through the soggy Ariège microclimate. The welcome was incredibly warm and the staff so accommodating. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and had some of the best food we've eaten since arriving on the continent. Breakfast was ample, with freshly squeezed orange juice and plenty of coffee to go with cheeses, ham, pastries and waffles. The peace and quiet and the fresh air and good food can't be beaten. I'd love to have spent longer. Many thanks!
