Give the site a miss. If your placed in a accommodation across the road on the dune. It's right on the road and very noisy!

Our accommodation was one badly maintained mobile. Blinds missing to windows leaving it very hot and no privacy. The decking looked in need of attention. Very poor indeed. Quite frankly it looked like an abandoned mobile ,amongst some new ,very upmarket accommodation. Obviously the ones used for advertising purposes. Yelloh your standards are slipping.!! As regular customers on Yelloh sites,this will loose you our future custom.

What a total waste of money!!!!-1*

We stayed in a simple rental unit. It was clean, convenient and within walking distance of gorgeous sand beaches and the dog was welcome too. What better than to walk along the beach to your seafood meal and walk back with a stunning sunset in front of you? The pool was nice, shopping at walking distance too. Beautiful area, friendly and laid back people. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Simple but comfortable

We stayed here for a week with our two young children in the Tent Lodge Carrelet. The tent itself was brand new and we loved it. Very clean, great shower, cooking facilities, fridge freezer, very well furnished with everything you would need including a gas bbq and flatscreen tv! It was perfect for us. It can be chilly at night and there is obviously no soundproofing because it is a tent and the local funfair goes on long in to the night but we didn't mind too much as you accept that is you stay in a tent. Big blankets were provided which I used for the children if they got cold but i thought it was excellent. The only downside was that the neighbouring mobile home seemed to be privately owned and the owners didn't seem to like anyone staying in the carrelet and shouted at us to be quiet when we packed our car at 9am in the morning!?! You need to check out at 10am so I'm not sure why they were so rude and unfriendly?
The campsite itself is split in two by a road but this isn't a problem as we wouldn't have let our children venture that far on their own anyway, they happily scooted around by our tent or went to play in the playpark with an inflatable castle.
The facilities were good, the bar was very good value, great games room, good entertainment. We loved the fact that it was all in french. My son and I visited Clarys Plage one evening and it was horrible, full of brits watching the England game and it was like Butlins. We got a couple of takeaways from the bar and the food was fine. We didn't need to use the small shop on the site as there was a big Express-U 5 minutes walk away and some lovely Boulangers 5mins away too. The best thing is the proximity to the beach, 5mins walk away. It is a beautiful beach. The pool complex is small but OK. The playarea is good, my children enjoyed it. Yes, the local bars and restaurants are a bit tatty but the area itself is beautiful and the beach is great. SJDM is 5 mins car ride away for better restaurants and a great beach and SGXDV is 15mins by car for great beaches and restaurants too. 
I found the staff very friendly and I loved the french character of the place. I only used the toilets once and i found them very clean.

Perfectly lovely french campsite

Bad Point 1 - A fast 70 kph road splitting the campsite in two, which is not ideal for children
Bad Point 2 - A very noisy road as above
Bad Point 3 - Children limited for cycling around the site due to the road above
Bad Point 4 - The Tents on Stilts have no protection from the very loud music event until 5am on Sat 19th Aug, in close proximity to a very loud funfair and circus from 8pm to 1am (cottage accommodation have the sound absorbed a little by the trees. 
Bad Point 5 - On site shop is a broom cupboard in size, it is pointless.
Bad Point 6 - The area is really run down, on our second campsite we met another family who'd stayed at the Euro Camp site down the road and they mentioned that the area lets everything down and they would never visit the area again (like ourselves).
Good Point 1 - The beach is fantastic (but that's not a Yelloh facility).
Good Point 2 - The pool area was never busy until mid afternoon, so getting sunbeds was easy.

This is not our first visit to this campsite. The warm welcome, friendly helpful staff & great facilities keep us coming back year after year. 
The site is located close to local amenities & a good supermarket for those wanting to cater for themselves rather than eat out every meal. 
There are cycle paths that are separated from the road by barriers so are great if you want to take the kids out on their bikes without worrying over their safety. 
We can't recommend this site enough.

Summer Vacation

We're veterans of Yelloh Village and French campsites in general. Yelloh usually don't disappoint, but I can't recommend La Pomme de Pin.

The site itself isn't terrible. The entertainment area and bar are OK and there's a buzzing atmosphere in the evening. But the poor design, with the site split into two by a busy road, is far from ideal - and not mentioned on the Yelloh website. The mobile home we stayed in had seen better days, too. Probably in about 1991.

In truth, we just weren't sold on the area. I felt like the Costa del Sol had somehow been transported to the Vendee. There's a whole strip of tacky souvenir shops, burger bars and downmarket restaurants that eat away at your soul.

The beach is OK, but again, it backs onto grotty high-rise developments that look like a slice of the low-rent end of the Costas. However, there's a good water park down the road and a decent tree-trekking place a couple of miles away in the other direction.

Maybe my experience was coloured by having arrived from a few days at Trinite-sur-Mer in Brittany, which is possibly the loveliest place on Earth.

Anyway, we were booked in for 10 days, but left after three to spend the rest of our holiday at the excellent Sequoia Parc in Saint Just Luzac.
