We stayed for two nights in the Loire room, the largest bedroom in the inn: it is a real suite, with a comfortable living room and office! And what about the large bathroom, ideal for a whole family! The place is very quiet and close to tourist spots such as Brissac Castle and the surrounding vineyards. Philippe and his wife worked hard to find us a good restaurant address on a holiday, while most of the surroundings were closed and his choice perfectly met our expectations. Finally, a special mention for a delicious breakfast and drink. The rain has by no means spoiled our stay and we would be happy to be able to return there one day!

It's a great place.

We booked several rooms for a wedding situė nearby and we were not disappointed, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, the place is very quiet. A gym is available, as well as a large parking lot. The owner is in the least care with you. A large kitchen is available if you want to eat on the spot. There is a little salė missing for breakfast, especially if you stay for several days, it changes a little bit

A beautiful home and charming and caring owners who make us share their passions. It was a pleasant and peaceful time we had. This place totally met our expectations. The owners also suggested a small restaurant in a nearby town that pleased our pimples.

We had a wonderful family stay. The place is beautiful (a splendid garden, charming houses), the rooms are very clean and decorated with a lot of taste. The reception is impeccable, with thoughtful and warm guests. The Clos Chevalier is very well located, in the countryside, quietly, but also close to Angers or Brissac Castle.

Nice address

Le Clos Chevalier is in a lovely rural setting near the Chateau Brissac (which we highly recommend). The rooms are very comfortable and the garden is spectacular. We ordered the tray meal for dinner and it was excellent--perfect on a rainy night. There is even a family of 3 black sheep. The hosts are very helpful and accomodating. We wish our stay had been longer! 

Pure French countryside

What a sumptuous, calm and colourful garden! The gates are spacious, clean, bright and furnished with great taste. The warmest welcome was from the owners who showed themselves very attentive and devoted throughout the weekend. We had a fabulous stay in the knight's closet and we highly recommend the address to anyone who wishes to stay in the area on foot!

Exceptional

Le Clos Chevalier is in a very tranquil setting close to Brissac, and a great location from which to explore Angers and around.  The B&B is set in lovely big grounds, amongst vineyards.  We were travelling as two couples on a cycling trip, and we had the guest house all to ourselves which was great as we had the comfortable lounge to relax in and enjoy the great selection of teas.  The rooms were very comfortable, and very quiet.  Our hosts Phillippe and Marie Agnes were very welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was excellent with great jams and fresh fruit.  Phillipe also recommended a fantastic restaurant only 2km away (Le Petit Manoir at St Melanie sur Aubance) – so good we went twice.

Lovely, rural B&B

Away from the husstle and bussle of local towns and big cities lies this charming French BnB. Phillipe and Marie-Agnes were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them ! We stayed 4 nights, had access to the communal lounge room (which 3 double bedrooms share) which is equip with loads of information about the local area, a card table and chess/checker boards; and the kitchen where tea and coffee is available and you can store your own goodies from the local french supermarket if you choose to. The beds are very comfortable, along with the added charm of being in the country, we slept very well. On day 4 Marie was kind enough to help us with some much needed washing and to print boarding passes for the next leg of our journey. They are extremely knowledgable of the local area, with excellent suggestions of things to do and restaurants. The breakfast is just delightful, traditional French style, served whatever time you like. Bring your bathing suit, they have a delightful pool on the property. We enjoyed this trip so much I would like to bring my family back to stay again. An absolute gem!

Very Impressive

Very nice people and good price/performance ratio. Very suitable for families and anyone who wants to stretch out a bit. As we were walking on the GR3, we were even picked up and driven back to the road.
