A beautiful campsite with super facilities and the staff are amazing. Kids love the safe open spaces to play and cycle around. Really fantastic place. Cannot recommend highly enough. We have returned here 7 years. Bar and garden area great for the evenings to relax with friends. Always great fun and the owners do an amazing business. Lots of great developments over the years which only improved what was already super. Looking forward to 2023.

Beautiful friendly Campsite

Amazing campsite, with incredible activities, fabulous food offerings, lovely bar area and on the doorstep of some of the best beaches in west France.
We arrived here after 4 days in Disneyland Paris, for some rest and relaxation. We had 2 caravans booked with Eurocamp and my young nieces loved the kids club activities. we utilised the pub, garden bar, pool, restaurant and pizza bar
they have added more EV car charging since the last visit.

Return Visit - STILL an amazing site with even more activities

We returned to La Garangeoire for the first time in several years.
We visited the site for 9 out of 10 years whilst the children were with us.
We decided to return without the children for the first time.
I am delighted to say that the site has maintained its five star status in all aspects.
Loved every minute.

Awesome as ever

As the title says we've been to the campsite a number of times before. However we hadn't been for around 4 years and with our eldest child now being a teenager we were unsure whether the campsite would be as good as before.

We had booked a TAOS accommodation this year where previously we'd always gone for a Riviera before. It was fantastic, spacious with plenty of room for us as a family with a lovely enclosed garden area. The location itself was perfect, really close to all the facilities yet was very quiet and peaceful. The only negative on the accommodation was the awning over the decking area. The material itself did not keep the rain out which meant it was not possible to sit outside when it was raining, but that was a small issue.

We ate twice in the restaurant which was first class and used the take away on a number of occasions. Lots of activities were onsite for the kids to do, with the highlights being the scuba diving introduction and the horse riding.

We loved our time there again, it really does feel like a home away from home and everyone working on the campsite makes you feel incredibly welcome. We're looking forward to planning our next trip there.

5th Time - Just as good

La Garangeoire is truly an excellent campsite. So professionally run by a wonderful team. Beautifully landscaped with very spacious pitches & very roomy garden area for each chalet if one isn't independent camping. We've been going there since 1990. We just love this fabulous place. 

Favourite Campsite

Good stay and very nice area. Friendly and personal welcome with little care and good advice. The area is beautiful and quiet. The services and activities offered are top notch. The accommodations are pleasant and spacious. And the common areas are very clean.

Have a nice stay.

We are of the opinion among parents facing our children's disabilities that a second mobile home would be welcome so that our children can find each other.

Unforgettable holidays

This camp site is situated on amazing grounds. We visited in peak season this year and would not go back there again.
3 times we asked for an outdoor bin to be provided and it never arrived.
We found some of the staff quite rude, when I ordered a second drink I was told to bring back my glass before they would serve me another one and to "bring it now"
Our daughters bike that we rented went missing for a few days and we were still charged for those days and told we would have to pay for the bike in full if it could not be found. It was found after a few days. Not sure if another child took it as we searched the place.
There was no chance to get a lounger by the pool after midday
I usually do not write negative reviews but for what we paid for the holiday we felt very ripped off. We went on to another campsite La Rive after this stay and it was far more enjoyable.
The kids club, our kids only used on the first day. I think the kids need to be under 10 to enjoy it but our son who was 8 didn't want to go after the first day. The staff were fabulous at the kids club though and did try and entice them
Its a shame to give a negative review as the setting is gorgeous and I thoroughly did my research prior to this holiday. I felt they had too many tourists packed in.

Nice place but too crowded

We have been visiting La Garangeoire for the last 10 years.  We started off with a caravan then changed to a motorhome and this year we have rented a TAOS chalet.  La Garangeoire is an excellent holiday location and never fails to deliver first class service, facilities and holiday.  

The chalet was central, clean and comfortable with hotel-type service and we cannot fault any aspect of it.  The only improvement we would recommend is that the canopy over the decking area be replaced with waterproof material as on the few occasions when it rained, we were unable to use the decking area as the rain came through and flooded the decking furniture.

We are keen swimmers and the pool complex is maintained to an excellent standard by Benoit (and Eric on Sundays!!).  We are also keen cyclists and one day we had a puncture.  We enquired at reception (Faustine) where the nearest velo repair facilities were and she immediately suggested that it may be able to be repaired on site.  Tony did a great job with humour and patience in repairing the puncture.  We were so grateful.

We have already spoken to reception about next year's visit which we are really looking forward to.

Absolutely superb, lovely site and lovely people. Off season break great time. Excellent facilities in an interesting area. Various day trips within easy reach if you need more than the campsite offers.
