We stayed at Hotel de la Tour in the small village of St Lizier South West France for a family wedding . The owners were very welcoming and we occupied three rooms next to each other, each with balconies overlooking a river with a backdrop of the Pyrenees . 
The hotel restaurant was excellent and rooms very clean and comfortable . 
A very quiet location  but suited us well .

A real find !!

Staff unhelpful.  Would avoid this at least during the off season.  The operation is just not staffed to handle even the minimum number of guests and the staff themselves seemed very unhappy to be there.

Travelling with friends and exploring Saint Lizier we came across the Hotel de la Tour and enjoyed a friendly welcome and service for lunch from an English speaking waitress (who tolerated and assisted our basic French !).  Enjoying the plate of the day, local wine  and the location in a smallish dining room overllooking the rapidly flowing river proved to be a lucky find. If travelling in this vicinity I'm sure that like us you would not be disappointed.

Excellent find whilst travelling

Hotel easy to find, on the right just after crossing the bridge from the D117.   Rooms clean and simply furnished.  En-suite bathroom newly installed and decorated.  Bedroom had small balcony with table and chairs that overlooks the river (also the rooftops of a house).   Ideal if just visiting this beautiful village for a day or two.  Restaurant overlooks the river.  Efficient and friendly service, food reasonably priced and of a good quality.

Okay, there's nothing fancy about this hotel, but it was fine for a night and would have been fine for several nights. It is close to the town centre, though it is uphill all the way! The rooms were comfortable, but have seen better days - but they were clean, and the shower worked fine. A few rooms have a balcony. There is free wi-fi. There is a restaurant, which I will review separately (only 3 stars).

A good budget hotel

The hotel provides perfect access to everything you came to this ville to see.  Parking is out front and there are not too many spots. The staff are great and quite helpful. The kitchen opened latish for me for dinner the night I arrived which was especially good because it was a National holiday and I doubt there was much of anything nearby that would have been open.  Good dinner and breakfast with a view down to the river.
