If you are looking for a family friendly half way overnighter between Calais  and the alps, look elsewhere!
I dont know what this place is but the groups of young men sitting around the edge of the car park when we returned from eating out made us feel very uncomfortable. I’m talking 30 or so young men sat around the car park (where our car was parked) doing what?! This is supposed to be a secure car park and I felt extremely vulnerable. Praying my car is in one piece in the morning. No
Staff around to raise my concerns with (21:10)
Other issues, which seem minor in comparison to the overall unsafe feeling I have right now….
Room smelt of smoke (even though there were no smoking signs everywhere).
Bathroom needs a revamp.
Air conditioning is useless.


Stay elsewhere!

not dog friendly. Paid for my dog and breakfast. Then come to breakfast and get told dogs are not allowed in breakfast room. Not allowed at table in hall. Not allowed table outside. Do they expect us to leave a dog alone in a strange hotel room to bark and destroy. Or probably they think we should put them in a hot car. Outrageous

Great stop off location if you are travelling through France. Really good value for money. The room was clean and of the usual B&B Hotel standard.
Its right next to a large supermarket and petrol station so fill up your car with cheap fuel. There are 3 restaurants nearby all in walking distance.
We were able to book in online and were sent our room number and access code.

Great location for an overnight stop if you are travelling through France

On outskirts of Troyes by a roundabout. Bit like a travelodge. Have your confirmation number handy to gain entrance if reception closed. Simple breakfast included. It's cheap and clean .  Parking included. A couple of restaurants within walking distance.

Useful

I stayed here en route to Morzine with my partner, we had driven from the UK. We arrived after check in hours but were able to access the room easily using an automated system. Room was very very basic with a bed and 2 pillows and 2 towels. Shower room was old but functional with no amenities or hair dryer. Sleep quality was OK our bed was quite firm though. Breakfast was a take out including a hot drink, bread, cheese, croissant, orange juice, pastry and apple compote. It was OK and filled us up enough until we stopped at the services. There are plenty of places to eat by the hotel including fast food or pub. This is a budget hotel and ok if you just want to sleep over but don't expect any extras. 

Overnight stay

We’re stayed here several times on our way to the south of France. Ideally situated and close to motorway. Plenty of eateries within walking distance and a large hyper market with petrol station. 
Secure gated parking included in the price.

Great location 

Outside of Troyes, handy for the auto route. Easy to find and close by restaurants, supermarket and petrol.
Clean, hard bed, friendly managers and a very adequate breakfast with scrambled egg and bacon as well as a good array of pastries and yoghurts.  Vending machines with snacks if needed.
Good value stop over.


Handy stop

We (couple) stayed overnight in B&B hotel St-Parres-Aux-Tertres on our way to the south. The room was tidy, and offered enough comfort. The bathroom may not be the newest nor fanciest in the world, but everything worked just fine and was perfectly clean. There was air conditioning, which was a pleasant feature on the second floor (right under the roof), after a hot day. The air-co was a bit noisy, but once the room was cooled down, we could turn the air-co a bit down and the noise became much less disturbing. After a restful night we enjoyed the French breakfast (which is in fact a bit sober in comparison to e.g. an English breakfast). Our only encounter with the staff was the friendly lady at the breakfast buffet, and was polite and helpful. In overall, we believe this to be a good no-nonsense hotel, and will certainly consider returning here upon a future occasion. We'd like to express our thanks to the management and the staff at the hotel for having everything well organized, even if we didn't have the pleasure of meeting in person (we arrived late and checked in electronically).

Decent place for a reasonable price

The receptionists was very pleasant the room & breakfast were both ok but the bathroom was in need of updating the buttons on the Wc were loose the pan cracked & leaking the toilet paper was the wrong sort for the container

This hotel has recently been given a well needed face lift.  The rooms, of course are still the original small boxes but we find that is perfectly adequate for a one night stay. From past experience we know that the soundproofing is poor. On this occasion, however, we were lucky and there were no noisy guests.

The bed is large and very comfortable and we slept well. The pillows are just about OK, though we would have preferred them a bit bigger.
The shower area is tiny, with a curtain  -  not my favourite   - but the shower itself was excellent. The towels were fine.

Breakfast was very good. Freshly brewed coffee rather than stuff from a machine. The croissants were fresh and plentiful. Scrambled eggs and bacon were on offer, as well as the usual jams, cereal, yogurt etc.

There are plenty of places to eat within a few minutes walk  and the huge E. Leclerc supermarket opposite has 24 hour fuel. Some of the eating places give a 10% discount if you can show the receipt for your accommodation. 
We have stayed here before and we will return again.
