Excellent location - right on the beach with magnificent views & right in the centre of everything. 
Our room was a little on the small side but perfectly functional
The food in the hotel restaurant was truly superb!!!

Excellent Location with great food

Be aware that the Formula 1 chain caters for more truckers. 
This is not a proper hotel. The pictures are very deceiving. 

We need not know what we booked and arrived late after a long road trip. I felt very comfortable evening just walking up to the hotel as the front was full a whole bunch of truckers smoking. 

We were able to check in fast but we’re shocked the room had no bathroom (toilet/shower). We had to pay extra to get a room with bathroom and extra to buy our own towels. 

To be honest just pay extra and stay at the iBis across from this location.

More hostel then hotel

Absolute dump but for £33 can't knock it. The main issue for me was the 30min check-in time. The shower had rust in it and the paint was peeling. Also went for good temp to scorching hot straight away. Not much fun but still a great place to rest you hear.

Be aware that the Formula 1 chain caters for travellers. it does not aim to offer 5* comfort and quality. Basic, clean accomodation. Check in at anytime so ideal for stop overs. Inexpensive, no extra charge for the dog and adequate breakfast.

One of the best hotel in the F1 chain. The hotel is very clean and the staff is really helpful for everything you need. It is 15 minutes from Le-Mont-Saint-Michel. Customers have 15% discount on Ibis restaurant located just in front of F1. Free wifi, very fast. Rooms have only sink inside, but there are plenty of toilette and shower on each floor. Cable TV.

Clean and helpful staff

The property was locked without anyone on site when we arrived. The room was perfectly adequate and clean, however there were people smoking in there rooms next to us with the windows wide open. Cigarettes are bad enough but dope, no thanks! Again there wasn't anyone to complain to from the accommodation. On return to the uk I find that my card has been debited twice. I have sent 2 emails and scoured the website for a complaints section. I keep being redirected to the Accor website which only has the email format. This is outrageous!

Travelling by car from Kent to the Pays de la Loire a distance of more than 400 miles, even with a couple of short breaks can be tiring, so an overnight stop at the F1 Formule Avranches had a certain appeal. Ideally situated by the side of autoroute A84 between Caen and Rennes it offers good parking, basic clean accommodation comprising very small rooms (my own being twin-bedded) complemented by a desk and chair, wash basin/mirror and storage hanging space for clothes. This modern prefabricated unit is maintained efficiently by a friendly reception and helpful team members.

The economy price of 35 euros for the room plus an additional charge of 3.83 euros per person for continental breakfast seemed about right, but the real disappointment for myself was having to share facilities. As the saying goes "one gets what one pays for" although the concept of shared showers/toilets is about 50 years out of date!

I expect to pass by Avranches again and whilst I would be prepared to stay at the Formule would find myself easily persuaded to pay the extra and stay at the adjacent Ibis (same Accor Group). Guests staying at the F1 Formule may take dinner at the Ibis and on production of their hotel confirmation receive a 15% discount on food items (personally I found the dinner and service to be very good).

Good for one night stay and to be on the road as early as possible. Breakfast starts at 6:30 which helped as well. Though this was my first stay in an F1 hotel it fit the expectations I had, shared showers and toilets and a room clearly designed to be easily cleanable with good acoustic isolation. All fine by me!

Breakfast was a bit scarce but okay for the price.
