Old and dirty rooms ,
Beds with stains of unknown origin.
Damaged equipment in kitchen. 
Never ever again!
 Not working heaters in room.
 As if no one had been there for years.
 Poorly with English in reception.

This resort scares with dirt, old furniture, stench, moldy walls, alcoholic libations in neighboring rooms. 

I strongly advise you not to spoil your holiday in this disgusting dirty place.

After seeing the apartment, we certainly wouldn't go to the swimming pool. There must be a plague there.

Horror!!!

I usually love Madame Vacances but this residence is not typical.

Horrendous experience! 2.5 hour check in queue (outside in freezing temperatures!)

Apartment was filthy. Left over food from previous occupants, mouldy bedding, dirt on floors, stains in cupboards, walls and doors covered in grease and grime. Equipment also broken/faulty. 

Reception promised cleaners who never materialised so we did it ourselves and lost a day on the slopes. There were a queue of people complaining in a likeminded way.

We complained to our booking agent and to be fair they offered immediate compensation but I am concerned that this place is regularly letting down their paying customers. It needs a jolly good shake up.

Long check in , filthy apartment

We had an excellent stay at Madame Vacances in Saint Sorlin D'arves. In June the station was not completely open yet, but the residence was very serviceable and accomodating. They provided us with plenty of information, places to visit and nice hikes we could do. 

Very friendly staff. The apartment was not too fancy, a little bit dated, however it was really clean and comfortable!! The location was excellent for us. It was great discovering the mountains in the summer!

A super stay at Madame Vacances in Saint Sorlin D'arves

We booked our ski trip before reading these reviews and were dismayed. But we decided that for the excellent price we payed, we could handle an hour of cleaning. So, armed with cleaning products and a positive attitude, we set off across France! 
In the end, we didn’t need anything. Our apartment was perfectly clean. It was small but had everything we needed. We took our own bedding and towels (or else we would have needed to pay) and we were half board, having breakfast and dinner at the consistently excellent le Barock! The residence is also really pretty which is always a nice bonus. 
A few things to note. The bedroom has two single beds so we pushed them together to make a double but the mattresses were different heights. The bathroom was enormous but the shower doesn’t drain properly so you have to scrape water off the floor with the provided floor scraper after each shower. It could do with a fan to dissipate the humidity. Having said that, the shower itself was very nice at the end of each day’s skiing. Les Fermes are a perfectly good budget option and we were very happy with our stay! 
Ref skiing, with beginner/intermediate skiers we much preferred St Jean d’Arves to St Sorlin. It’s a ten minute drive each way but the slopes are easier and it was much sunnier and brighter! But whatever you do, St Sorlin is a brilliant place for a ski trip and les Fermes was an excellent budget option.

Much better than you’d expect from these reviews

We had such a good time at Les Fermes de Saint Sorlin. Firstly we were greeted by a very friendly team of receptionists, then we found our apartment which was amazing and so much more spacious than imagined! There's a big pool which was quite busy in the afternoons, but plenty of space in the mornings. There are also two Jacuzzis and two saunas which was a pleasant surprise! There was no oven in the apartment, but this just meant we had an excuse to try all the local restaurants! 
Lovely apartments and a beautiful area, I'd definitely recommend Les Fermes de Saint Sorlin.

Better than expected!

I had an amazing stay here for a week of biking in the Alps. It's in a perfect location and is a cheery little town. The apartment has everything you need with a cracking pool on site. The service is top-rate and very professional. I received a really friendly welcome and was well looked after by Julie and her colleague Alicia. I will definitely be back!

A Great Stay in the Alps

Having read some of the reviews about the apartments I was a bit anxious before arriving at Les Fermes. However we were pleasantly surprised at how good the accommodation was (J104). Within our group another 2 families had equally clean and good accommodation. 
It was clean, the beds were very comfortable and had hypoallergenic covers on (we brought own bedding to save money but you can hire theirs for a small charge).  There was a well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cater for a family.  Lockers for ski stuff under the apartment were useful for storing kit. 
The pool was clean, albeit a bit chilly when you need to warm up after a day on the slopes. Hot tubs were good, but do expect to wait your turn to go in. 
Location wise it was a short walk to the ski in/out bit. Slopes were lovely and plenty of runs for the whole family.  The Grotto de Yeti pub just down from the apartments had a lively atmosphere and a reasonably priced happy hour. Next to the accommodation there was a food shop, couple of ski shops to hire or buy, a restaurant or two and a lovely little panaderie. 
Staff were really friendly and helpful.  The place was nice and relaxed, and during our time was family friendly with a good atmosphere. 
There were good views over the resort. Only thing I would moan about is that it was tricky trying to keep the place clean as the communal corridors got quite grubby at times with skiers coming in and out, and no doormats anywhere or anywhere to scrape boots off. 

Perfect base for family and friends ski week! 

arrived about8pm and there was an envelope with directions to apartment..We were 3 families in 2 apartments that had booked together several weeks in advance but the apartments were literally as far apart as could be. the apartments are very basic and worn but suffice for the low prices paid.
its true that the floors were dirty and some of the bedding was stained and ripped.
The reception staff were friendly enough though.
swimming pool was ok but closed between 12 & 4pm and then got overcrowded.
The 2 saunas were poor and didn't get very hot.
The plus points for this accomadation, good showers,close proximity to the slope (not really ski in ski out) 2 ski shops , local supermarket, bakery and 2 restaurants and a bar which can get noisy.
In my opinion not the ideal place for families but ideal for boys trips or groups on a low  budget .Booked with ski France and got a reduced lift pass.
would I go back again - yes with a bunch of mates.

budget accomadation

First of all the reception opens at 4pm only, we had to queue in the cold from 3.15pm and finally got the keys 2 hours later!! The employees at the reception were very unefficient, but that is not the worse !!
Once we had the keys, it was to realize we had to clean the flat !!!
The floor was dirty, I had to clean the mop first, it was just disgusting.
Then the beds! Stains on the sofa, stains on the duvets, stains on the bed matresses, I didn't want to put these dirty duvet in my clean duvet covers.
On top of the stained bed matresses, there were some disposable bed matresses that are supposed to be changed but they were not.
Hairs on the matresses, Had to clean the fridge too!
When we went at the reception to complain, we were not the only ones having the same problems with dirty flats. The employees couldn't managed between the check in and the customers complaining, it was chaos.
An employee came and agreed with us. He gave us some clean bed matresses and clean duvet.
Also we had to wait 3 days to get the key of the ski locker, they had to change the lock, but I don't understand why these kind of problems are not fixed beforehand.

I can just agree with one of the review, this is really slums by the slopes.
